The thread these two have post-event is still in process and may dramatically change this perspective, but as Beast's CR with Rapunzel thus far, he's still feeling quite awkward around her since their "first" meet. He was good friends with her before she left and realising she doesn't remember him at all hit him quite a bit; it made him feel that he shouldn't bother her too much, especially since it was by pure chance that he and Rapunzel became friends in the first place. So it's obviously still in the development phase, but he wants to rekindle that friendship - he just feels very awkward and unsure about how she feels about it.

Beast really likes Ariel - even though she's mute and he's illiterate, her teaching him to read and the fact that they share a semi-similar "curse" really opened up the communication for him. They both have a lot to still learn about where they live, and that connection means a great deal to him. He hopes that he can see her more often and share more of these similarities with her.

Oh geez - Beast's relation to Pilouette has been awkward since the very beginning. It only got worse after the Valentine's event, and even though she seems to be alright with them becoming friends, he's still nervous about it... he knows quite a bit and yet so little about her, and most of that came from something he doesn't like to think about. It will take some effort and time, but he's hoping their friendship can strengthen.
