IC Christmas Gifts Meme 2013

IC CHRISTMAS GIFTS MEME

Holy smokes, time flies! So a few folks, me included, expressed interested in an IC Christmas Gifts Meme just like last year, and you gotta admit that it's a pretty convenient way of keeping track of the gifts your characters will give to others. Are you excited? ...excellent!

Here's how it goes:

1) Post with your characters. If applicable, include a list of what they will be giving others

2) Reply to other characters with what your character is giving 'em.

3) Sit back, relax, and enjoy some lulz!

Hector will be left an iron statuette of one of his old devils, a Juggernaut. A few purified crystals of rose quartz are mounted in its back and tiger's eye gems are set into its eyes to aid in the purpose of deflecting bad vibes. Placed outside Hector's cabin, it is meant to guard the space within from the invasion of evil spirits.

Zevran can expect a slim silver ring. Its simple design is of a serpent wrapping its tail around itself with a rounded onyx gem set into its mouth. He has read that onyx in particular helps to eases tensions especially in marital relationships.

Jack: A cotton and leather jacket with a hood, handmade. and an Antivan short sword that he found.

Eugene: A leather apron and heat insulated gauntlets

Max: a blank leatherbound tome for writing spells, notes, or drawing with an inset glass flask for potions.

Isaac: seven small bars of Antivan silver, and a letter.

Kirk: A selection of healing herbal teas, spices, with strict instructions on how they are to be used- and a bar of rich dark chocolate with a small flask of brandy on the side.

Spock: the recipe for Antivan drinking chocolate and a kit to make much the same for himself and his household.

Katniss: Antivan leather boots for hunting.

Prim: several gold and rose gold pins for her hair in the shape of lilies, orchids, and roses.

Richard Sharpe: A new belt and scabbard for that sexy sword of his, well oiled and padded on the underside to prevent chafing.

Loki: an offering of brandy and Antivan black teas.

Effie: A little hollow brass bird that he's stuffed and sealed with sour incense. The smell will only get worse the longer she has the pretty thing.

Again, as I think of them. TIME TO MAKE LISTS.

Panem isn't a place where Christmas is celebrated and even if it was, District 11 is pretty poor. That said, if Rue finds out about Christmas or gift-giving in general, the following people will get items.

Katniss: Whatever arrows Rue finds in the weapon shop (or she might request some), and a woven grass charm similar to the one she had in the arena.

Prim: A woven grass bracelet (think friendship bracelet). Also some balls woven out of grass for Buttercup.

Richard: To be determined!

Peeta: To be determined!

Any other people Rue might get to know better between now and Christmas will also get bracelets or charms made out of grass.

Present lists will be in a general comment. But some general notes:

-Rock Lee may try "acting" as Santa again, as he did last year, possibly with Naruto's help. So he will try leaving presents at everyone's places (possibly even trying to enter them) that mostly would be generic gifts except perhaps for some personalized gifts for people he knows (or thinks he knows) well.
-Aang can wind up getting presents for pretty much all of his CR, because he likes holidays about giving.
-Jade won't bother with the holiday; I'm not even sure what Mytho will do with it.

Ginia doesn't have enough CR to get gifts for anyone at this time. That said, depending on what CR is built between now and Christmas, she may bake cookies and other treats for people.

Fenimore, Grune: A large plate of cookies for their household
Peeta: Belated, after she receives his present, but a box of homemade cannoli.
Masaomi: tbd

Rudy: A new bandana ~~that she may or may not have made herself~~. Also there are some very carefully decorated cookies that are wrapped as discreetly as possible.

Crow: A book of pranks and a winter hat!

Eley: A warm scarf and gloves.

Shinji: A deck of cards and a small jar of tea leaves.

Cross: Some very non-Christmasy fruit cupcakes. Yes, she made the most unfitting kind on purpose.

Everyone else she would give gifts to: Probably cookies, although they will have weird things in them. Like, say...marshmellows.

Because I think Katniss might actually venture a gift or two this year...

Peeta: The easel with the mostly finished portrait of Katniss the previous Peeta did still on it, along with all the painting supplies that she couldn’t bring herself to throw away. Plainly wrapped and dropped off inside of his apartment.
Prim: A book on medicinal herbs.
Richard: A pocket watch locket with a picture of her and Prim inside, along with a note asking him to always keep it on him so he doesn't forget them if he ever is sent back.
Rue: A small bow of her own with some arrows, and a note promising to teach her how to use it.
Effie: An invitation to move back into the house.
Clove (and Cato): A blank journal with a note on the first page explaining her family's plant book and suggesting that Clove and Cato start a similar tradition.
Teddy: A book of love songs with lyrics and music.
Zevran: A damascus knife for hunting.
Jim: A big pot of stew and an offer to take him hunting with her when he's feeling better. If he wants. He can refuse. That's also written in the note.
Henry: The bow he gave back to her and a note offering lessons once again.
Aang: A baking cookbook.

If you think that I'm forgetting yours, please let me know. Katniss - while having a lot of CR - would only get things for people she feels closest to.

Sam: A red silk robe with his initials embroidered on one chest pocket.
Billy: Issues of his favorite comic book (whatever that might be) that she’s noticed is lacking from his bookshelf.
Teddy: A framed poster of NYC to hang up in the apartment.
Tommy: A copy of “The Tortoise and the Hare” with a message scribbled inside: “Take note, Speed. <3, Kate”
Wanda: Silver and red dangly ankh earrings
Bulla: A stylish purple blouse
Jack: A mug that says “World’s #1 DJ”.
Eugene: A little wind up music box that plays “O Canada.”
America: A bag of Christmas themed chocolates (because it wouldn't be right not to get her future teammate *something*).
Natasha: A mug with a fake revolver for a handle.
