Grune really likes Pao-Lin, even if they somehow haven't talked to one another all that much recently. (How did that happen? 0_o; ) She likes her spark (haha) and enthusiasm, and it's nice that they share a hobby in common in drawing. In particular over the next while, Grune is likely going to be trying to mother the hell out of Pao-Pao, which is probably a good thing.
As for when she has her memories back, it's a lot easier for her to see that despite her independence, Pao-Lin is still only a child. One that had to grow up quickly, but a child all the same. She knows better than to let that on, though.
But yeah, Grune would love to paint with her again sometime. Maybe that summer mural? ♥
