I'm not exactly sure about specifics. But Aang's very outgoing so any sort of incidental bumping into around town or the forest could be possible. He did also stop at that temple once for the moon festival, so they could always meet up when Aang goes there to pray or something. And if he's pinged by spiritual theme, I might have him do a post regarding spirituality sometime after his canon update.
