Saori falls somewhere between being an acquaintance to him and friend. Perhaps it's easier to call her an ally. For reasons he couldn't name if he were asked, he doesn't feel entirely at ease with her. Not to say he's nervous, though. Perhaps it's just that he doesn't feel he jives with her as much as he did with, say, someone like Chun-Li. Or maybe it's because he sees her more as the goddess she is than as a regular Joe (or Joanne?) more on his level. He's not attracted, but that works anyway because she's with Clint, though he does like her energy. She seems nice enough and is definitely a strong, capable fighter - as he sees it, it's always good to know more of them. He won't soon forget that she saved his life.

Isaac's first impressions on Rapunzel, Spencer on Tony?
relictusdeus: (Neutral)

[personal profile] relictusdeus 2013-04-05 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Isaac's reminded of Belle more and more. And something tells him Rapunzel is annoyingly stubborn, too. He doesn't like it when people feel they know what's best for him, or at least, when he gets that impression.

Tony's got brains and Spence definitely respects that. Even if that portal effort didn't pan out, it was as good an attempt as he'd ever seen and he's gotta give props to the folks who made it possible. Once he finds out Tony made his own suit too, well... there's an UMvC3 quote from Spencer to Tony that fits perfectly:

"This arm of mine isn't as good as your suit, but we can work out the kinks, right... partner?"

Spencer on Storm!
bionically: (Looking out pensively)

[personal profile] bionically 2013-04-05 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, here they are.

Despite the awkwardness of the V-day shift, he can't help but think about how it felt to love and be loved. He's glad she took it a lot better than he thought she might and that they don't hate each other's guts. Ever since Peggy listened to him and offered him advice, he wonders if he could/should allow himself to pursue a relationship in Luceti despite his hang-ups. Is this what she meant about letting himself live again?

She's energetic, dignified, and has wicked powers. Respect. He thinks of her as an ally first, and then as a friend... mostly because his thoughts on her are a bit muddled thanks to the shift.

Oh, hell. Isaac doesn't know what to do with you. He's still digesting the fact that Zevran risked a shit-ton and took that blow. On one hand, there's a small part of him that wonders if that is love, if that is genuine care and consideration - whereas the more bitter side of him says it's just some sort of ploy to lower his guard and it frustrates him that he can't come up with any super solid reasoning to support that POV. He's still angry but being the one to finish off the elf allowed him to get some of that resentment out of him his system. He's telling himself not to expect much from here onwards as not to set himself for disappointment.

Also, as far as he's aware, Zevran is still the only person in the village who ever got anywhere close to knowing how he works and how to approach him. And moreover, Zev let him be and never pushed for change. That, to him, is a far greater act of kindness than what anyone has shown him, which made losing his company a bigger blow than he might ever be able to describe. And now with Hec gone... ehh, it doesn't get any easier.

Isaac about Loki *U*
relictusdeus: (Interesting)

[personal profile] relictusdeus 2013-04-05 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
The few moments in which they might joke about something are outweighed by how annoying he can find Loki. He's inclined to think the kid's trying to piss him off for shits and giggles, and wouldn't put it past a trickster. He also thinks if he has gotten to Loki at any point, he would never in a gajillion years admit it. The kid seems to think very highly of himself and makes no secret of it, prompting Isaac to believe he's probably a lot less confident than he seems and looking for some sort of validation. Probably the 'nicest' thing Isaac could think to say is that there are more annoying people he could have as company.

[personal profile] relictusdeus 2013-04-05 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Beast has a monstrous exterior but is human on the inside, and Isaac... in some ways has embraced the exact opposite to survive and thrive where he's from. He finds it amusing that Beast seems to be highly attached to Belle, but, hey. Having spent over half his life in the company of all sorts of castle-dwelling creatures, Beast doesn't frighten him. Isaac has to wonder, out of curiosity, if he knows about Belle's attempts to smoothen out his rough edges (he's ALL rough edges, ff). I guess at this point, Isaac's feelings are somewhere between neutral and 'bitch plz', although this probably applies to many in the enclosure. :I

Issac on Katniss?
relictusdeus: (Father and Son)

[personal profile] relictusdeus 2013-04-05 04:08 pm (UTC)(link)
She's a tough, defiant person as far as he can tell - something he finds kind of admirable/impressive (and you can imagine the thin, condescending smile that comes with this) in his better moods, and more annoying and foolishly bold otherwise. Simply, he sees a lot of himself in her. That's what draws him to someone he might otherwise have never spoken to. It's not his intent to try to get her to change.

[personal profile] bionically 2013-04-05 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
From what Spenceface can tell *so far* (which might change slightly towards the end of their thread, who knows), Veg is a guy who has some sense of humour, but the charm of it is lost because, well, it seems like he's trying to rustle his bionic jimmies up pretty good. He's going to assume that Vegeta is doing this partly for the amusement factor and to make himself feel superior (why else, right?). Sounds like Vegeta's life back home sucked in the ways of evil androids, but it's hard to empathize with a guy's situation when he won't let up on the insults. Definitely, he's the first person in Luceti who openly looks down on him, which came as a bit of a surprise and burst that happy little bubble of 'people are astoundingly nice and respectful here'. He's guessing he has to prove himself to Vegeta to earn his respect, but he's not going to jump through flaming hoops just for him (that's what he thinks, but... he might very well push himself for his own reasons). As it is, he feels like there's enough he has to keep up on a daily basis. Being an amputee, he'll push himself twice as hard and try to be as strong a captain and soldier as he can be in all senses of the word so he's not pitied and/or viewed as a lesser man. And that's another thing... Quit callin' him android, Veg. GOSH.

All that aside, Vegeta's mad powerful and fast, and he finds it incredible. He'd just be more impressed if he felt like they were fighting on the same side.

Spock on Isaac?
bionically: (Default)

[personal profile] bionically 2013-04-05 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Isaac as of late finds Spock much more irritating than useful because of the incident in the Item Shop. He doesn't think of Spock as a friend, clearly, so much as a pawn. And the use of telepathy, though done sparingly, really rubs him the wrong way when he's in a bad mood. Makes him feel naked and certainly not in a good way since there's enough he wouldn't want people to know. Which is bound to make people wonder, because some of the stuff he IS open about ranges from being amusing to bold to terrifying. :Ic Spock, being so logic-bound, seems to be devoid of a sense of humour in Isaac's mind. But Isaac feels that his way of thinking means that if he makes a good case for something he needs from the Vulcan, he can manage it without emotions getting in the way. PHASER GET.

And yes, he remembers the phaser-related help offered and might soon think of taking advantage of that.

Isaac on Belle / Spencer on Steve?
relictusdeus: Laughing time is over (Ice queen / I don't care)

[personal profile] relictusdeus 2013-04-06 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
Steve, from what he can tell, you are a humble, strong-willed, reliable guy and a good listener - good captain material. Also, you're a buddy of Bucky and he seems like a decent guy himself. He doesn't know you especially well, but there'll be time for that. :3

Belllle. Man, as of late, Isaac finds Belle annoying in her insistence to have him change in the way Julia would bug him when she'd suggest this. But there's the other side of it. She just... reminds him plenty of Julia with the chances she's willing to give him. Telling him about the Princess Bride book to be read anyway despite their long and heated conversation... she didn't have to do that but she did anyway. However much I can bug him, I don't think he'd have it in him to let her die if she were in danger. He's bail her out last second and chew her out, naturally. :P It's a... complicated relationship and he varies between thinking of her as a useful pawn, an annoyance, and a sister-figure.

Isaac and Helios? 8>
relictusdeus: (A kiss to your throat)

[personal profile] relictusdeus 2013-04-06 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Isaac thinks of Helios as someone of use. After all, he got the Mirage Ring from him, haha, and suspects he can acquire more things, whether it's items or knowledge. The best part is that Helios is simply just too nice and meek to really say, NO DAMMIT. Isaac is kind of neutral towards him at this point. He finds his nervousness amusing at times and mildly annoying at others, but hasn't really any strong feelings.
