What I really like about Storm and Wolverine is that we can assume established friendship that dates back a couple of years already. I think it says something that they'd been teammates/partners and friends for a long time. I mean, we don't really get to see much of it on the show (THANKS MARVEL) but but they've known each other so long and somehow Storm still isn't fed up with him.

They make for a very unassuming couple (platonic/otherwise). They're different in a lot of ways, but they have their similarities too and that's what makes them work so well together, I think. I can't speak for Logan, but Ororo values him as a friend because she knows he can ground her when her lofty ideals get the best of her. There aren't very many people who will be willing to give things to her straight and pointblank, or treat her like an equal (if that makes sense?)

Anyway, for as long as they've known each other I think there's been a kind of status quo established between them - it's easy not to think of a "next step" in their relationship when they're both busy with a lot of things back in Bayville. But here in Luceti the days are longer and quieter (between drafts anyway) and Shifts like the Christmas and Valentines ones are making her realize that there are things she acually wouldn't mind sharing with him and it's WEIRD because now she's wondering if that next step would be worth it after all.
