Sora knew Beast before coming to Luceti. Beast is in his universe and at their first meeting with Beast being hurt by Riku, Sora instantly came to the big guy's aid worrying about his injuries. Overtime, Sora trusted the Beast and began to see him as a good friend and ally in the fight against the heartless. Sora said at one point that the Beast gave him and all their friends courage to fight for what they wanted, because Beast did the same. However, that doesn't mean Sora's willing to put up with Beast's temper. When it's unjustified, Sora will snap back at the guy, he doesn't mind Beast getting angry just not at someone who did anything wrong.

In Luceti, Sora is more or less a bit sad that Beast hasn't met him yet, or worse won't ever meet him. Because this could be a Beast from a whole different universe from his. No matter what though, Sora thinks of Beast as a valuable friend, with or without the guy knowing him.
