Spock is currently one of those friendly-neighbor kind of guys who is helpful and fun to talk to when you run into them. Maiza is grateful for the man who helped him to his place when he was an owl, and he feels a little bad he couldn't help him out when he was fused with someone else.
He's also quite curious about this Vulcan business and while he's not judging -- his buddy is a devil or something, he can't judge -- he definitely wants to know more about Spock's background, as long as the man isn't uncomfortable giving it away.
