Adell

Adell views Selphie as a reliable, trustworthy friend, though one with a mischievous streak to her. But this is okay. ...Honestly, it reminds him a bit of home, which he has no problems with.

But as aged as it is, Adell hasn't forgotten how honest, straightforward, and friendly Keiichi is. He's a trustworthy soul with a good heart and a resolve not seen in most people, which makes them something of kindred spirits.
Adell also hasn't forgotten that he offered to help keep anyone from Keiichi's home safe, and he still has a supply of medicine stashed away in case the Syndrome acts up again. But all things considered, it hasn't appeared as though he's needed it, which is a fact Adell is thankful for every day.

...I really wish she'd stop feeling bad about my shoes. It happens.
You know, for all the times Mia's been on my back about not being reckless and being more careful? I know she's only saying it because she actually cares. She's a really kind woman... and fearless, at that. I know I can count on her if she got into a bind. I want to get to know her better, spend some more time with her. ...Preferably when I'm not being injured and when she doesn't have to lecture me about being careful.
I think we're both tired of that. [He laughs.]

What more recently disturbed him was Daisy's uncharacteristic behavior in the Battle Dome. He knew Daisy was not nice to her foes, and that's never bothered him, but her taking her pistol to an unarmed, injured man, even an untrustworthy one, was confusing. He hasn't pressed the issue yet, considering she didn't disregard his orders, but it's still something that's on his mind. Admittedly, it has him worried, not because he's afraid she'll snap again, but more that there was something at all that could trigger her like that.
It still hasn't occurred to him as to why it happened yet.

Fortunately, his first impression was indeed good, so he'll be looking forward to talking to him more in the future.

Not to mention... she brews some amazing tea. And he loves visiting her at the tea shop. It's a place that the two can actually speak and not have fighting on the mind. I imagine Adell's told her all sorts of stories about back home and a lot about Veldime in general.

She's a good person to spend time around if you want to relax or just have a lighthearted time... and one of the few Adell's found that can easily, and repeatedly out-drink him. ...He is not embarrassed by these losses at all.

...But she soon returned the favor for him, when two of his closest friends vanished at once. He didn't expect the aid from her... but was immensely grateful that she extended a helping hand back to him in his time of need. Actually, that meant a lot to him at the time, because although the pain of loss in Luceti is far from anything new, grieving when you're not alone sometimes makes things easier.
He already considers Cloche a friend because of the act, and depending how the thread plays out, he may open up and divulge some about his friends that have come and gone. That said, he's very interested in maintaining this friendship beyond the sensation of loss...
Because sometimes the strongest, most fruitful bonds are built upon initial tragedy.
