Shiki is a good friend, actually that probably should be a great friend. Sure sometimes it feels as if they don't talk often, but when they do? Keiichi has tons of fun with her and finds it easy to talk with her about just anything. He likes that they can have both serious conversations and fool around, sometimes even going from one corner to the other with ease.

Shiki's also practically the only person to know almost all his secrets (at least the important stuff about the syndrome and the "time-loop") that doesn't make Keiichi feel as if anything he may say or do may trigger alarms in her head regarding the syndrome and what not. A way of saying it would be that he doesn't feel as if she watches him with worry every now and then? It's a feeling that is vanishing because he's coming to accept that no one actually does that, but she has been the only one for a long time who gave him that feeling so he appreciates that. He keeps wanting to go and actually talk with her a bit more often but so far he has kind of failed at this, he will keep trying though.

Oh, Ange. He loves her, plain and simply. It's not the kind of love of "I have to be with you the whole time" or a love with flowers and candles and fireworks, even if he brings them into play as well it's not just about that. It's not a love of knights and princesses that need to be rescued even if he may and will play the role gladly for her. It's not a love of appearances or money even if those are undeniable elements that are there. It's not the type of love that makes one go "I can't live without you", he knows he can live without her, just as she can live without him, but comparing a life with her besides him and a life where she's not there he chooses the first one. And that's the love he has, it's a love that comes from a deep place in his heart that he didn't know he had, a love of choice because he wants to choose Ange, no matter where they are or how old they are or for how long they can be together, those things don't matter if he can be with her for even an extra second than he can.

Despite all his talk and plans and everything, he knows very well that all of those things may never come to happen. He knows that whenever they return they may just forget everything completely and live on without thinking even once that there may be someone special out there. That he will probably life his live in Hinamizawa and end it there and that his wife probably won't be a redhaired girl who likes to wear hair bobbles in her hair despite how childish it may look. And he knows he will be fine and happy, but he also refuses to accept that he will ever be happier than he is now when he has Ange. And so he refuses to give in to destiny and chances and separated worlds and sets his mind in fighting it all, because he did it once and they came out victorious, so he can only keep trying no matter the price, because even if she may not be worth that much he wants her to be worth that much and even more.

Keiichi and Battler don't know each other well enough yet, unfortunately. However Keiichi honestly likes the other guy and cares for him, not just because he's Ange's brother but because he's a friend. Sure, they aren't close friends or good friends, but Keiichi still thinks they are friends and that they can get along very well sister issues aside.

Also he likes that Battler is rather easy to troll, it feels nice to not be the one grabbing the short end of the stick for once. He can't wait until he manages to get Battler to play another game of Old Maid and have him walk around the village dressed as a French Maid again. Because that memory is one worth of redoing. :D
