Madoka is a special girl. It's not everyday that one can meet a human who is honestly optimistic without being delusional and who still remains so naive to the world around her. It's both a good and a bad thing, but Yoh isn't the type to dwell in that. It would be quite sweet and perfect if it wasn't because of her attitude towards herself, which only serves to remind Yoh exactly why it's so hard to find a human who's worth it. It seriously pisses him off, but of course he voices nothing, because there's no point in getting worked up with it, he knows that's how the world is. If anything the part that bothers him the most is that due his current situation and Luceti's lack of spirits and such he can't do much for her other than talk to her, he can't open her eyes to a world further beyond what she already sees -even if she already sees a quite big world she's still clearly missing things- like he did with Manta.

Taking into account that their second chat was during a time when both weren't in their best state of mind -though Yoh was at a better situation than Lupin-, he really doesn't have much to say regarding the man. It's not that he doesn't have an opinion or that Lupin is just that irrelevant, not at all, but Yoh doesn't like to judge on first impressions. Or rather the judgment is far too general to be worth of it. Humans are supposed to be unique among themselves, they should also be judged uniquely.
Going on first impressions, though. Lupin is clearly someone Yoh will seek out more times, maybe not in an overly active way, but certainly enough to keep in touch. He's someone the boy will actually bother to notice and greet even if he's in the middle of one of his "nature contemplation" moments. The man is clearly intelligent and knows his way with words, he's also interesting enough that an explanation of Luceti was actually an enjoyable conversation. He's also clearly not an evil man, which isn't to say that he's a good man, even if he has a nice smile and was really nice that doesn't make someone a good person. On the other hand, Yoh has nothing to go with to say that he isn't a good person either, so basically Lupin is just like any other human, he can be bad or good but Yoh's pretty convinced that even at his worse the guy won't be outright evil which is an improvement.
