buffy and azusa haven't QUITE interacted enough for her to have a solid opinion yet; so far, the older slayer's understanding of azusa is restricted to her being 'that girl who is friends with melaka' -- but for this she is GRATEFUL. she might not know melaka from home, but she feels responsible for her...and so seeing her make friends with exciting, bright-personality'd people like azusa warms buffy's heart.
so, in short? she likes you, girl. keep rocking the fun stuff.

buffy likes you. a lot. it was one of those early-on clicks -- two personalities just working. she blames the pop culture references and the desire to torch the undead. and it's undeniable that they've both been through a lot. doyle is sincere and plays along with her snark.
she IS a little apprehensive about him being army, though. she has a bad history with military organizations. so she's still putting up the brave-little-toaster front for the time being.
i foresee many great bar conversations in the future.

buffy's feelings surrounding ginia are so very complicated. they run so much deeper than the initial knee-jerk dislike based around the fact that she had been dating giles. ginia is the woman that buffy thinks she could have gotten along with if their circumstances were different -- but as it is, too many factors get in the way. she doesn't shy away from her own hypocrisy concerning the age difference between giles and ginia and, deep down, she knows that she wasn't so much bothered by the fact that there was a gap but more by the fact that giles was dating someone only a few years older than herself. it gave her a serious wiggins and its left her feeling as though she cannot relate to ginia as a peer in her current age-group.
secondly, they tend to relate to each other only through tragedy. through people going home (like horner or giles) or through shifts around the village. a lack of positive experiences with ginia has left buffy associating her with feelings she'd rather avoid. and so she avoids ginia. especially in the wake of giles's departure where she feels as though the ex-watcher is their only common ground -- and currently, that common ground is treacherous.
this doesn't mean that buffy won't try. she's pretty good at pushing through awkward social situations with a few jokes and she does want to be at peace with ginia -- she's simply not rushing to be besties at the same time.

they haven't had TOO many threads yet but -- so far? buffy knows she has so very little in common with brennan. really, the only thing they almost have to share is knowledge of booth and he isn't even here anymore. any friendship that she extends is almost entirely in good faith for her old friendship with booth -- figuring that he would want her to be decent and welcoming.
generally, she's very patient with people telling her she's wrong or what she fights isn't real. after all, she spent ten years back home living a secret life. so she doesn't feel ANNOYED with brennan, just...wondering whether being a decent, welcoming lucetian is worth the hassle.

oh jeez. buffy and willow. the best example i can give of buffy's current feelings on willow is...is that she's so certain that she needs her best friend that she (guiltily) cannot drum up any disappointment that willow is amongst the lucetian trapped, now. this place can be so monstrous and as strong as buffy is and as many friends as she has made here, it is nothing in comparison to the strength she can find in a friend she has known since she moved to sunnydale.
additionally, buffy currently has a lot of anxiety over whether willow will approve of her life and choices in the village. after all, she's barely the active hero she once was. she's managed to carve out a stable life and she doesn't want willow to think that she's weaker for that.

okay. point the first: the above song is usually one that i keep only to buffy + dawn cr playlists. that should give you some pretty heavy evidence right there for how buffy feels about jilly.
things started off rough. buffy has managed to go from being entirely wary of jilly to developing and growing feelings of great affection for her for reasons that are wholly divided from their first point of common ground -- sparrow. now her relationship with jilly is distinct from those other associations. they may not have similar hobbies or lifestyles but they make good housemates. they've built themselves a little family home in luceti and while it's recently been growing in population, i tend to see the pair of them as the house's core. the rock of seven.
buffy has reached a point where she feels like she could confide many things in conversations with jilly -- as evidenced by her being the first that buffy told about the proposal.

oh boy.
buffy met yotsuba at a very strange time in her life. namely, they met soon after jack sparrow had confided in her that he had dreamed up and hallucinated their children. this was pretty awkward given that buffy's pretty sure she...doesn't want kids. shouldn't have kids. would be a terrible mother. and who wants to raise a family in LUCETI anyway?
so buffy is normally pretty awkward and failtastic around children. but there's a rambunctiousness in yotsuba that seems to complement her awkward ways and buffy's found herself caring rather a lot for the girl. feeling protective -- as evidenced by how upset she got over jack's treatment of yotsuba while he was dealing with his own kid issues.
she feels comfortable around the girl and she likes how vibrant and alive she feels in her company. these are important things for buffy.

oh. tony tony tony. i might not say much just because...well...i think a lot of their cr speaks for itself. she trusts him with a lot of her secrets now -- and as playful and teasing as their conversations are, there is something wholly equal about the way in which they interact. they share a lot of levels even as they also share a lot of differences. had buffy been single when they met, she might have eventually moved into a kind of flirtatious stage but as it is tony has sort of skipped over the romantic classification and has ended up in a category that is far more important to her.
she knows she can fight with him. that's important.
she knows he won't judge her for her mistakes. that's important.
she might even do his laundry sometime out of thanks.

Katara

i think it's because they share something viscerally strong and connected not just to who they are but where they come from. the things in their life that have shaped them into the young women they both are.
buffy admires katara. she worries about katara. she enjoys katara's company and finds herself exceedingly comfortable just sitting down and chatting with her for hours, apparently. she sees a lot of her younger self in katara but also sees a person who is better than she feels she ever was or was allowed to be.
she's dead serious about wanting the waterbender at her side if she ever makes her move on the general.
