Like Shikamaru, Freyjadour has mostly met the other in combat oriented situations. But from what interaction they have had, he likes what he has seen- Shikamaru has a good head on his shoulders, and is a good leader, making sure to keep people safe and managing to direct them in such a way as to get them all out alive of what was essentially a suicide mission- He has a lot of respect from Frey, for that.
