JEEZ THESE GUYS i think they have had more interaction in luceti than they have ever had in canon lmfao...

BUT EITHER WAY he may not necessarily like her (because he doesnt really like anyone really), but he likes her enough and he definitely respects her as a hero and as a fighter. she's young but she's smart, and as far as he's concerned she's proved her worth many times over

It hurts because it's true, LMAO. I think the only thing remotely resembling interaction that they had in canon was probably when she (and the other Heroes) were yelling at a still-brainwashed Barnaby about Maverick's machinations. And possibly maybe something even more superficial during the Jake fiasco, sigh. (At least there's the one Miracle Jump chapter where she and Ivan attempted to give him a late-ass birthday present...before it got snatched away and she and Barnaby had to go chase after the perps. Which...probably would lead to the current assessment of Luceti!Barnaby anyway, hahaha.)

ANYWAY barnaby really likes nami. he feels that he can trust her, which is a Big Deal. he thinks she's smart and capable, which is a quality he likes in his ..... friends. not that he has any friends. but yeah. he respects her an actually doesn't mind spending time with her it's a miracle!! she's just the sort of personality that clicks well with him i suppose
