He's actually pretty fond of Yoh right now. As stated when they were both shifted, Yoh is uncommonly wise and clearheaded, and it's a very respectable trait that Lupin doesn't witness often even in adults. As stated with Ikki, Lupin really does tend toward the mellow sort of characters, as a counterbalance to himself and his manicky tendencies.

The fact that there is intelligent conversation to be had here is also a welcome surprise, although he is a little curious about why Yoh refers to 'humans' as a whole--as if he were somehow separate from them, but doesn't dwell on it. Their conversation about patience and strength is actually going to stick in his mind for a while, because it was something he had while shifted that he normally doesn't have.

Such reminders are a good thing.

All in all, Yoh might be Lupin's favorite teenager in Luceti because of all of this. He doesn't get along with minors very well in general, and there's so many of the teenagers that are overtly heroic or overly stuck in their own opinion. Lupin doesn't care to even try talking to them most of the time, because he sees that there is inherently going to be a conflict on some level. Most of the time, they also just don't interest him.

Yoh is one that Lupin is likely to seek out in the future one day, just because of his relaxed demeanor and the fact that he's entirely non-judgemental. After his first encounter with Tenten, and subsequent encounters with some of the other young people in the enclosure, it's a very refreshing change to what Lupin sees as something of a precident.

Wow, tl;dr, over only two conversations. Looks like Lupin likes him a alot!
