inevitably steer back onto the correct pathshe's...actually I think the only girl Nami hangs out with that is just for the sake of hanging out and being girls together. 8|a It's a nice change of pace? Azusa can often make her smile just by being herself, and Nami will shamelessly encourage all attempts to net them a tropical island, because that's just hilarious. |Dno subject

Whatever liking towards children Nami really has, Elicia has wormed it out of her and has a stranglehold on it. She's an adorable kid and it's a travesty that she's stuck in Luceti, but at least her dad is here and Nami hopes like mad that when one goes, the other will follow immediately. She'll do everything she can to make sure Elicia is protected, but then just about everyone in Luceti would, really. In the meantime, it's amazing just how much fun Nami takes out of having cookie-baking days, and while she resents a good deal about the Luceti Valley experiment, she can't find herself begrudging that for a good ten days, she thought she was Elicia's mother. (What it says on the CR, basically)
Sayo
Sayo, you wonderful, worrying person, you. She loves you greatly, in the manner that if anyone hurts you she will fuck them up six ways to Sunday-- either that or foist Sanji on them for exactly the same thing. 8| That being said, while she thinks you're a little naive to the way of the world, you are by no means stupid, and anyone who thinks of you in that fashion due to the kagedama can also get decked. It's that fine point that means she will keep her (worried) distance over the Mithos issue, because if you insist it's fine, then maybe it actually is fine. But she'll be watching. *_*
Wolfwood
...is fast becoming a guy she likes to drink with at the bar and snipe at the Malnosso with. 8|a It's kind of like Sokka, only he's alcohol-friendly! He lives next door so she probably randomly waves at him on various occasinos when they run into each other, and as Vash's best friend she both (a) tries to understand Vash a little more and (b) will probably have several more venting sessions about Vash in the future. |D
The fact that he's dead, while sad, is the only reason why Nami has decided to shelve all doubts about Wolfwood and Milly having a child in Luceti. This love and family is all he'll have, and Nami will do her best to let him have it (in terms of all cunning plots to escape Luceti, etc.)
Kotetsu
He's a dork 8| But a really likeable one and she wants to get to know him better, because Nami tends to be in a good mood just by talking with him. The fact he sounds like Sanji made him stand out straight away, of course, but since then he's shown himself to be a really nice guy! They've fought together on the draft, he helped her out when she was sick, she punted him into the sky...IT'S A BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP, OKAY.

She's also close to Hachi. Hachi isn't so bad, and she knows his attempts to help and make things up to her were genuine on Sabaody, and Hachi clearly deeply cares about Keimi. It links Nami to the mermaid in the strangest of ways, and given they've both been hurt because of the ugly prejudice between fishmen and humans-- from entirely opposing perspectives, no less-- it sometimes brings an air of awkwardness into their friendship. But it doesn't make Nami like Keimi any less.
She's a little frustrated by Keimi's apparent fragility when it comes to ego/friendship/past regrets, which is why she'll occasionally get snippy with her when such things might be brought up (for example, Keimi's soft fear that Nami didn't like her after she found out about the tattoo, despite the fact that the tattoo was old news and Nami has been friends with Keimi for over a year.) But Nami's like that with most people. |D
