Shikamaru's someone who Aang wants to chill with more in the future. Kinda like the cheery young kid finding the burnout under the bleachers to be a cool dude. Aang has since seen the more useful side of Shikamaru's personality, which has made him more useful as an ally and as a friend. Plus a worthy Pai-Sho opponent. They've only talked a few times, but Aang is looking forward to friendening this loser.

How do you feel about this new Sokka,.

Sokkapow! Aang is glad that Sokka is still pretty much himself enough to joke around with all the time. Sokka's new maturity is a bit of a double-edged sword, I guess. Aang's glad to have someone with experience as one of his best friends, to help him get the hang of the place, but it does also make him feel like he's still a kid sometimes. With fresh memories of Sokka's "oogies", Aang also isn't too keen on talking to him about Katara anytime soon, and he's glad that Sokka remains clueless about that. Above all, he's happy to have his old buddy around to continue kidding around with.

Sabriel has seemed like a promising friend so far. He's been interested by some of the similarities between them, even if it did lead him down to a depressing topic. He looks forward to continuing to compare their powers and duties, as well as to deepening a friendship.
