And answering this OOCly because Leonhardt fails at expressing feelings.

Basically he does actually genuinely like Caius and thinks of him as being a bit like a little brother, which isn't a bad thing, he adores his little siblings. It's just that the whole friend thing scares the crap out of him. Leonhardt has lost too many people important to him and is definitely scared shitless to get close to anyone else because of that. That's why he pushed Caius away with that knowledge of the horrible things he's done, and honestly, he's done more that he didn't even get into. Yeah, like Lukius, he's a redeemable antagonist.

But while things aren't going well between them now, it's not a hopeless case. He wouldn't have done the anonymous communication if he didn't care at all. He's just a hard guy to get through to, but if Caius has patience, he will likely get through. Basically just have to be stubborn to get through Leonhardt's own stubbornness. He's got quite a few years of experience at being a stubborn git.
