Selphie has been a friend since shortly after he first arrived in Luceti and he has known her almost two years now. Their mutual trust and friendship has only grown in that time, even through the hard stuff. She's one of the few he knows he can be frank with- and moreso, that he can always go to when something is bothering him. She can tell when he's hiding things bothering him and he can likewise see it in her, and that is a bond few have with him and one he is grateful for.

He doesn't think he would have managed handling Luceti this long without her (And Ceodore, though he is gone now) there to share the happy and hard times with. It's a special, mutual bond they've managed to build, and the honesty there is always something he is going to cherish.
