Smoker is a cool guy who understands what it means to not disappoint the starfish. Not many people know this! He's also an amazing bodyguard and a very protective person in Fuuko's eyes. Whilst she doesn't need anyone beaten into a bloody pulp Smoker will be the person she runs to if there's ever a time she needs a weird guy lightly smacked around.
