Edward Elric

1) Height: Between 5'6" and 5'7". Haven't sorted it out exactly yet.

2) Weight: Tricky question. With two metal limbs, Edward is probably pretty hefty for his size. His automail is lighter than it used to be, though, and he's grown, so- going by his size and stature, maybe between 140-150 pounds. Needs more research.

3) Eye color/Hair Color: Both are a rather exotic gold, though his eyes are a darker, more honeyed colour. For reference.

4) Age: 17

5) Physical features: The aforementioned automail, assuming he's got them exposed, which is admittedly not often. It looks a little different than the image shows, but only in nitpicky details.

6) Voice: I play Edward as he is in the Japanese version, so Romi Paku is the voice I use as reference. Here's an example of Ed.

7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: Currently living in House #30 with Hohenheim. Ed's pretty self-sufficient and his dad is still in "how does I family" mode, I think, so they probably do their own chores without Trisha around to look after them.

8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: Meals are questionably split. Neither are great cooks, but they don't poison each other or blow up the kitchen, so. Edward loves stew, but hates spaghetti and pretty much any and all milk products.

9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: There's no such thing as an average day for Edward, since he's so all over the place. Some stuff he might be doing:
-exploring (either in the village area or beyond it)
-researching at the library
-sparring in the battle dome
-practicing alchemy and alkahestry

10) Their general sense of fashion: Edward's fashion sort of varies; more often than not, he wears his plain black shirt + pants ensemble with his red coat, but he's also been known to branch out. Recently he's been dressing more like an adult and wearing dress shirts, and he's rather taken with a particular black trenchcoat. Really he's starting to look more and more like his dad, which is hilarious. :|; Due to his automail he very rarely wears light-coloured clothing, since the oil tends to stain the material beyond repair.

11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Alchemy is pretty much his life, lol. He doesn't do much beyond that, and he gets too restless when he has to sit around in one place. He's actually been enjoying the commissions he's been getting, though; after being a dog of the military for so long it's a nice chance of pace to just serve the people, which is what an alchemist is supposed to do all along.

12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: Not a lot has changed on things or situations, but his thoughts on people has certainly taken a turn for the better. He's trying to be better friend and is even (sort of) getting along with Hohenheim these days. ...Emphasis on the "sort of". Seriously.

13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: Technically yes; Ed's weapons are both his arm and weapons he can pull out of the ground, and he can arm himself with those via transmutation. So he is and he isn't armed at all times, but you can't really say he carries it around with him.

14) Who are their neighbors?: The neighbouring buildings are #22, #23, 29, 32, and Community Building 3. Ed doesn't know them very well, excluding #23 residents, obviously.

15) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? Winry, Hiccup, and Ling are the people he's closest to. Since her request back when his mother disappear, Ed has tried to spend more hang-out time with Winry, and he probably visits the Hughes house randomly during the week, even for a short visit. Hiccup is his go-to buddy for a general pick-me-up or just general hanging out, and Ling is in that Hard-to-Describe category, but he trusts all three of them a great deal, so who he visits and when really depends on his mood.

16) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: House 23 and the library at the moment. The battle dome ranks pretty high these days too.

17) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: Edward's wings are red, the same colour as his red coat, with black flecks scattered throughout the feathers. He tries his best to ignore them, mostly by keeping them constrained under his coat. In warmer weather he has to let them out to breathe, but that makes him nervous since it's dangerous, so he tries to conceal them whenever he can.

18) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: He's gotten taller! A bit. Maybe a couple inches. This was mostly due to a) time spent in Luceti and b) the months that Alphonse had his human body back and was therefore no longer sapping up Ed's growth. He's also had his automail switched a couple of times, so during the winter months he has a set of red automail crafted by Winry. Now that it's warm again, though, he's switched back to the silver Briggs set.

19) What do they miss the most from home?: Freedom to move 8|;; He hates being confined and stuck in one little village all the time, which is why he spends so much time away from home. He can only explore so much of it, after all, and he's especially annoyed that he lacks that clear "save Amestris and get Al's body back" goal he'd been working towards for a long time now. Since that goal has actually been met in Amestris thanks to the Go-Home-For-21-Hours experiment, he's less restless than before, but he still gets the urge to wander now and then.

20) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: Edward's handwriting is pretty clear, since he writes so much and so often; he carries a private notebook around at all times for jotting stuff down, after all. His writing is more formal than his speech patterns, mostly because he's used to writing reports for his State Alchemist assignments and assessments, as well as his own research notes. His speech is pretty informal, full of slang, and often crass, so the difference is obvious.

21) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: Sort of different in the same sense that his writing is different from his speech; on the journal he acts more professionally if it's written, again like he's writing reports, but with audio he treats it more casually, like a phone call. He's slightly more awkward in person since he's not exactly a smalltalk kind of guy, and it's easier to end conversations on the journal than face-to-face.

22) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: To put it lightly... Edward was one night away from the Promised Day, aka the day when all of Amestris could be destroyed unless a certain transmutation is stopped. His goal to reach Central and stop it still exists, as well as his original goal to restore Al's body to normal, but since he knows that it ends well now, he has a new goal on top of that- to bring everyone from Amestris back with him, particularly Hughes. He hasn't quite sorted the "how" out yet, though.

23) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: A bit of both, since the journals are better than telephones, but mostly just a sideways shift- Amestris has vehicles and trains, and Luceti lacks those, but it does have teleporters. He's been alright with it since the journals are functional and the enclosure is small enough to not mind walking across, but he prefers being in a wider land to travel.

24) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: N/A

25) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?: N/A

26) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: Edward is an alchemist who has seen the Truth, which basically means that by clapping his hands together, he has the power to disassemble and reconstruct virtually anything he touches. There are certain limitations to this: he's limited by the law of Equivalent Exchange (aka to make something, you need materials of equal value) and his own morality, so he won't transmute living things.

27) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? He's slowly learning alkahestry, which is a style of alchemy that focuses on medicinal uses. He'll never be considered a great healer, but he wants to get at least a functional understanding in order to survive serious injuries without getting himself killed. Progress is... well, slow. But he's getting there with Hohenheim's help.

28) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? Absolutely no killing. Edward has a very strict no-kill policy, and he gets pissed off when he sees other people kill, so he really hates drafts. He's been volunteering for missions basically because of those issues. He'll still fight, of course, but he won't deal the final blow to the human(oid) enemies.

29) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? No real habits? He's used to behaving for the military, so he's mostly polite and compliant. No escape attempts, anyway. Previously he went on the missions in order to get Al's body back, but with Al gone, he'll occasionally volunteer for one if he's bored or he wants to stockpile the points in case Al comes back.

30) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: (IE. getting used to the place, not wanting to leave, being less/more inclined to do something about their situation, so on) He still wants to go home and stay for good, but he can see the merits of staying more than he used to, and he doesn't mind it nearly as much.

31) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? (IE. do they spend time on their own, go drink away their troubles, confide in their friends, and so on.) ...Mostly solo brooding. If it's not a particularly personal experiment or something he'll be embarrassed by, he might confide in Winry or Hiccup, but he's kept mostly to himself in regards to the experiments and drafts so far.

32) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? HE HATED BEING A GIRL 8[ Almost everyone liked him better that way... on the flipside, embarrassing as it was, he didn't mind his experiment, where he was always chill and relaxed. He genuinely had fun that week. More than anything, he loved the AU-Go-Home experiment; experiencing the Promised Day had a huge impact on him, so much that he honestly didn't care much about the alternate reality he lived out for the week afterwards. It gave him a new understanding of Haruhi, too, so that helped a bit.

33) Anything else you want to note?: ...Someday I will post the headcanon I have been compiling. Someday
