1) List ships you like in Luceti

Such have been our ways for some time, but this time I present five CHALLENGES* to you, Luceti!!

1) Put pairings on that which don't involve your own characters! not that I need to worry about this from you guys
2) Explain a little about why you like the ships, maybe! or if you're Yosh make an essay

Yellow 13/Litchi Faye-Ling: This ship's been going on a long time, and it really was kind of... a surprise that it ever happened. Back when Litchi had quite a few suitors, Thirteen was pretty much dead last in that lineup, even though he wasn't actively looking for romance with her. Circumstances and a couple of very heart-to-heart talks really planted the seeds that made this one come together over time. I like the ship because it was a very gradual, believable progression and the two really balance each other so well.

My ships fall into four categories, which I will enlighten with some examples. I say some examples because I know I'm forgetting something. While I don't really ship many things, I find enjoyment in a lot of things and thus list them for the sake of having more than just a few. Also I think I have picked up a few since I wrote this list and can only remember one addition.

1) Ships that I think would be fun to see.

Ed/Ran Fan: Honestly, with how the canon Ed pairing is going ahead and there has been some movement towards Ran Fan/Ling, this should go into the second category. ...NOPE SHIPPERS GONNA SHIP.
Keichii/Ange: It's cute.
Lightning/Zack: See above.
Luke/Xion: See above above.
Nami/Noel: So my ardour for the pairing has faded somewhat, but that doesn't actually say much, because from pretty much their first thread together I shipped this with the passion of a thousand burning suns. So now I'm just down to my usual "it would be cute if...."
Precis/Rin: Actually, I'm a little on the fence at the moment. But I think it has promise, so I am going to keep following this with my chin in my hands.
Toph/Ion: I considered putting things in alphabetical order, but then I got to this one and it felt blasphemous to write Ion/Toph, even if I find "shipping orders" to be silly. So everything else ended up more-or-less random order (though the actual canon pairings were ordered to allow for easier reference to each other since that was possible). Still, this is really adorable. Like all of these, I don't actually feel like I need to root for this to happen, because the CR is great either way, but I do chinhands at the idea that this is becoming more probable than I ever expected.

Also included: a note that reads "Kaida/Ayum – NO I’M KIDDING" but I can't remember why. A great mystery for the ages. I don’t even recall who Kaida is offhand. I suspect someone made a joke on plurk.

2) Ships I’m not actually interested in seeing but ship anyway.

While I wouldn’t dislike seeing these ships happen, I feel that they work better as non-romantic

Katara/MSF soldier: The perfect solution to her exploding love life. Though it would require some finagling to manage to always get on the same missions to meet.
Masaomi/female Silv – no, actually, I think I’m kidding. But if female Silver existed for longer periods of time I might not be. Hard to say.
Shiemi/Silver: TOMODACHIS MOFOS. Which explains why it's in the second category. But, man, it would be pretty cute.
Silver/Raven: SILVER NO YOU AREN'T INTERESTED IN ROMANCE WHY ARE YOU A GIGOLO IN MY HEAD. I kid. But, seriously, I am not sure why I ship Silver in multiple pairings when he has no interest in these things. (I say this like it has ever stopped shippers.)
Yotsuba -> Shiemi: I’m kidding again. A typo in a plurk suggested that Yotsuba (rather than Yukio) was crushing on Shiemi and I promised to ship it from then on. It’s unidirectional for obvious reasons, even for a joke pairing.
Yuri/Luke: No, I am not actually kidding and I blame Kukki and Kyio. I was reading one Kukki's plurks about a Kyio gagtag and it was like I had a sudden revelation. So now we are here. :|

3) Uncategorized ships.
Haruhi(ki)/Winry: This ship used to be in category one, but at the moment I have no idea how to classify it. Charles, your ships are confusing me, because next up is what was originally the only thing in this category:
Masaomi/Katara: Man, I don't even know. So for a long time I almost didn't want it to move beyond awkward dancing around the subject, because it was just messed up enough to be fascinating without being off-putting. I just wanted to chinhand at them forever, so originally this was going to be titled " I don’t know if I want them to actually get together or spend forever in shipteaseland." But then, partially from Aang coming in and then mostly from Aang and Katara's descendants showing up, it started getting a little too tense for me. I have gotten to the point where I feel like it needs an endstate – or, well, given how pairings aren't always eternal, a stable equilibrium – in order to resolve this tension. I don't know whether that would be "Masaomi is convinced to give up" or "they go out for serious," but I think either would be healthier. Katara, your poor love life. At least the most recent log suggests that things might be moving towards a more stable equilibrium, though I would put nothing past this pairing.

4) Old as balls, which is to say, someone has dropped.

I DON’T LET GO EASILY. As in several of these have been dropped and reapped again and sometimes dropped again and I think in at least one case reapped again. MY FAVOURITE SHIPS ARE OLD AS BALLS. Seriously, though, I ship a lot of these way harder than anything currently in the game by the power of nostalgia.

Anise (galddigger of Tales of the Abyss)/Simon (dawndigger of Tenga Toppen Gurren Lagann): Yeah, they were majorly adorable. The second branch of the Anise Luceti triangle of Karol (rending_drop of Tales of Vesperia) was also pretty cute, but I was firmly in Camp – oh heck I lifted Twilight terminology. Bad self. But, yeah, I liked it a lot.
Azusa mythmaker/Melaka (makeitquick of Fray): STOP BEING SO STRAIGHT AZUSA YOU’RE BREAKING MY HEART. So I shipped this pretty strongly, even though I know it was probably impossible.
Buffy/Heart (sixwayheart the OC): Oddly enough, I don't remember shipping this at the time. But then it got brought up on plurk and thus I decided "oh, that sounds neat. I should go reread those threads." And now I ship it really hard posthumously. Love it.
Ginko (one_green_eye of Mushishi)/being awesome: Okay this has nothing to do with anything but dude was awesome even if I had virtually no CR with him. He, Moro, and San represented to me an awe of nature in Luceti that I haven't found a replacement for. Sure, I have plenty of characters I dearly miss who aren't mentioned on here, but when he dropped, it felt like the beginning of the end of an era that is about to come to a close this Halloween with Moro's death. I feel a little melancholy about it, but honestly melancholy kind of fits with the wonderful, "mystery of nature" feel that these three brought to the game.
Grune/Dhaos (whatdeheckisdat of Tales of Phantasia): And yet I don't think Fenimore ever figured it out. In her defence, Grune does not seem the sort to get romantically involved with people.
Pao-Lin/Hubert (ozwell of Tales of Graces): I haven't actually read too many of their threads, because I was waiting to get to watch someone play Graces first. But I liked what I saw. (Also written on my initial list of pairings when I wrote this up: gee whiz wherever he is / I believe that her art will go on / once more she opens DA / and he’s here in her art / and her art will go on and on.)
Rin/Makoto (planetcrusher of Blazblue): There weren't that many threads, but man was this ever promising. Alas.
Stella (goldenfirefly of Tales of Legendia)/Asch: So they were both in relationships at the time I started shipping them. So what?
Stella (her again)/Cloud (herobydefault of Final Fantasy VII): So they were both in relationships at the time I started shipping them. So what?
Stella (the haremmaster)/Yuri (I mean Vesperia’s since we have a few around now): Stella stop you're too shippable.
Walter/Ahiru (of Princess Tutu, but based on her first appearance in Luceti rather than the last time): Okay, so depending on how old Ahiru is considered (you know, not in duck years), this might be mildly pedo. But I can wait. I can wait forever. If I had to choose one pairing as my Luceti One True Pairing, this would be it. I don't care it is old as balls (apparently, for me, balls are three years old). They were cute and nothing can dissuade me from believing that it is not just nostalgiaglasses.
