It's December! :D :D :D It's the time for winter and cold weather and snow (unless you're one of our crazy compatriots who lives in Australia, or one of those sad souls who live in Florida, having never known the sweet joy of snow). Seriously, I dunno about you guys, but it's been snowing here the past couple days, and it's greeeeaaaaat. It's come just in time to have a white Christmas!

Because, yes, it's Christmas time! You know, Jingle Bells, Ishka Smells, Masa Laid An Egg? That time of year, where we spend far too much money on gifts for our loved ones and not-so-loved ones! That time of year where a jolly fat man in red parades around delivering toys to all the good little boys and girls of the planet. Have you been good this year? Yes? No?

Well, if not, maybe it's not too late to redeem yourself and get in some goodness. And if nothing else, maybe you'll get some early credit in for next year. After all, six months later on that shining red nose, it's time to spread some Christmas Cheer with...

Comment with your list of characters even if you expect nothing: you never know who might want to praise you. Tell people what you love about them: characterization, speed tagging, detail, dedication, the works. Even if you've loved them before, LOVE THEM AGAIN. Love is eternal, you know. And like the last fifty billion times, I'm issuing the same CHALLENGE present in all past love memes. I know you all love your friends and I do too but do try to spread the joy to at least one other person you've never talked to before. Maybe you stalk them; maybe you've interacted ICly but never OOC. Maybe you just kind of admire them from afar! I'm sure you all have at least one person like that. So what if you already kind of loved on them on the HMD? Do it again! You never know whose day you just might brighten up with that.

We've got the stockings hung, so it's time to stuff them full of love!

I've been rewatching just a little of X-Men Evolution, and I absolutely adore your Rogue! I know Panda's a bit of a handful...but even then, I can hear her voice in your tags and like the direction you've taken with her/how often I see her around in general. She's an absolute joy to see around!

I'm confused about whether I should still go for an essay in the HMD meme eventually or just drop my gushings here for the time being. I'll always admire how awesome you are and how much better you are at breathing life into your characters, with all this headcanon and fanficy stuff that makes it so plausible that these characters were living, breathing creatures both before they came to Luceti and outside of their respective canons. I'm thankful for every thread I've had with Katara and every chance to try to do my best at channeling such an iconic bond, and now it's been a blast this cycle to do another side of the coin with Rogue and Kurt, and in the process I've learned how deep and involved your Rogue characterization is. It's all fascinating, and I hope to keep this machine of awesome that is our CR going as long as possible. Getting to know you and your characters has made this year so very bright. Thanks for everything.

Shira! First off, thank you for being someone I can talk to oocly about things. You get love just for that.

As for your characters, I love the depth you give them, and the thought you put behind them. Each of them is really fun to play off of, whether I know their canons or not, and I'm looking forward to developing cr with all of them. Each has such a distinct voice, which can be hard to do with multiples, but you handle it beautifully. And you don't always take the easy way, but instead you stay true to them, which I adore. (Even if Pepper gets frustrated with Rogue sometimes).

Shira! You always have a kind word for everyone, and it always shines through in whatever you do. Your characters are so deeply fleshed out that it's overwhelming, the level of time, care, that goes into each of those CRs, the things that make the character tick, you're not afraid to reach into that headcanon and pull from different levels, you want to go the distance to show just how much your character has changed, aged, or been affected by varying events, and sometimes it doesn't even have to be something big to have a major impact or significance. Your characters are just built up on moments of significance and detail and balance and you go out of you way to make sure that they aren't lost in it, either. Katara is growing up but she's still Katara. Rogue is letting people 'in' but she's still Rogue. I'm sure Molly's the same way; I'm just not familiar with her canon. But there's always something flowing in the development that you deliver and it blows me away sometimes.

I'm not really familiar with Dresden Files, but I wanted to say your Rogue and Katara are spot on. :) I hope to have Konan interact with them soon. She knows some of the same people that they do, so eventually.

...also, I've been considering Wanda from X-men Evolution. It may have had something to do with our wonderful cast. Just maaaaaybe~

Thanks for listening to me when I spazz about certain things and for being open to all the plots and shenanigans I may come up with! I'm really sorry for being flaky on you, but I hope you've had just as much fun as I have this past year. Katara is wonderful as always (you don't need me to tell you that!) and Rogue! Evo!Rogue was never my favorite Rogue, but you make me adore her all the same. Here's to more fun in the future...! :D

Basically to adequate express my feelings I feel like I need to break into song, but seeing as how it's sort of hard to transcribe an impromptu song into a Dreamwidth comment, I will just have to make do with some unintelligible gushing and YOU GOTTA DEAL WITH IT OKAY.

You're amazing. Just flat out amazing. As a writer, a roleplayer, a friend and just generally as a person. I'm always in awe of how talented you are! Each of your characters is distinct and entirely separate from the others, and I greatly admire how you've managed to keep their CR and involvement with Luceti unique and interesting. Your characters feel like more than just characters - they feel like people. They feel so real. And whenever I read your characters' tags, I can hear their voices perfectly. You are the definitive Katara, and I cannot even begin to tell you how much I admire the way you've developed her and contemplated so extensively the way in which Luceti and her circumstances have affected her. She's helped Toph grow in her own ways, and yet we still have those teasing moments of bickering that remind me so much of the show, and I love that. They have such a bond. I love Rogue will all my bleeding heart, and her relationship with Tony continually blows me away with just how deep it is. It floors me when I stop to think about the impact they've had on one another, and you have made her so dimensional beyond what the original canon had for her. You've done such a wonderful job with making her fascinating and believable, and our threads constantly murder my heart (in the good way). I'm canonblind to Molly, but I love when I see her around too, and really hope to get more CR with her soon!

I also admire you so much as a castmate for being so willing to plot and put so much care and thought into how your characters are involved with their casts. I remember how welcoming you were when I first joined Luceti, and I've admired that attitude about you ever since. You're always on board for plotting, and I appreciate that so, so much and I love stalking what you do with your characters. You're dependable and I can always count on you to make a meaningful thread, even if it's just something fun and fluffy. It's also so evident that you care about your characters and threads so much, and that you're willing to put so much time into what you do as a roleplayer. It makes me simply gleeful every time I see a Shira tag in my inbox. You're a delight to talk to, whether it's about RP or just whatever, and I always love the chance to chat with you. I really need to sign on to AIM more, sob.

Your Rogue makes me remember how much I enjoyed X-men Evolution and Rogue in particular. She's absolutely awesome and I love the teasing friendship that Clint and she have ^^ It's great fun.

I don't know much about Katara and her canon but they way you play her makes me want to know more. She's awesome (especially when it comes to snowball fights!)

I really don't have the words for you, dear.

Whatever it takes to become as amazing and dedicated and imaginative as you are, you should bottle it and make millions. You put so very much human-ness into your characters: they screw up, they get angry or embarrassed, they aren't always doing the exact right thing for the situation all the time. That is what I love most about your playing style and haven't gushed about before, I think.

I heard somewhere once that the reason one person wants to be friends with another is because that other person is fascinating, and they want to be close to that person for the chance to spend a moment in their light. For the good it feels that it brings into their lives. That is pretty much what being able to talk with you - about RP stuff, about life in general - feels like. You are fascinating, a most amazing person, and you can handle so much without missing a beat. Most recently you've made me feel welcome and needed and wanted when I tend to struggle with those feelings, and you seem to have this effect on the rest of the game too.

i now know the thought you put into every tag. every action. every choice. and the care you take for your characters -- the headcanon and the character-building and the smallest details that might seem insignificant at first but which turn into sparkling little threads on a larger tapestry that i could only ever hope to emulate with my own playing.

You're really one of my favorite people to play with in this game, you know. I've had some great conversations with you and we've done some threads which have been wonderful experiences and imo some of the best RPing I've ever done. So many key moments stick out to me with Masaomi and Katara alone: The Day just for them, various confession threads, some draft ones, really the list just keeps going on. And while I know that CR's complications have been stressful for us here and there (particularly for you and I'm sorry for that sob) I'm very glad that we were able to establish it and we've been able to roll with it for so long, because it's easily one of the most rewarding relationships I've ever played.

And that's just Masaomi/Katara, haha! Even outside of that I've always admired your thoughtful consideration for the development of all of your characters, the artistic flow you've woven into much of Katara's prose, the sharp and frankly brilliant wit you write Rogue with, and the genuine sentiment you've just brought to things OOCly. I'm not even half as poetic as you tend to be naturally and I've always appreciated and admired seeing that crop up in our threads, in other people's threads, on plurk, and in our conversations.
