[personal profile] knightofratatosk 2013-06-20 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
1) Height: 5'6 1/2" / 169 cm (that half inch is very important to him, okay)

2) Weight: 132 lbs / 60 kg

3) Eye color/Hair Color: Blond hair, green eyes.

4) Age: Physically 16. Actual age... it's complicated.

5) Physical features: BEHOLD, THE ANTENNA. Also has a star-shaped birthmark on the left side of his collarbone, but this isn't visible most of the time.

6) Voice: Right here! It doesn't help with the illusion that he's younger than he really is.

7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: Emil lives with Caius, and the two of them divide the chores fairly evenly, cooking being the exception-- that's Emil's territory for the most part.

8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: Emil love love LOVES seafood of any sort, as well as orange soda (a very unfortunate fact while the elves were here), mint chocolate chip and cookie dough ice cream, and pretty much everything else. He's not a picky eater, except where herbs are concerned, though he's growing to be more tolerant of those. As stated above, he's the one who does most of the cooking.

9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: Do some chores, maybe go to a couple of classes at school, and then work in the tea shop. Not necessarily in that order, and he spends a lot of his time with friends, too. His life is pretty mundane, but compared to what it was back in his own world, he likes it.

10) Their general sense of fashion: Stuff like this-- in other words, average teenage boy fashion, nothing too ridiculous or too "hip."

11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Cooking! It's something he was fond of (and good at) back in his own world; now that he's pretty much fending for himself in Luceti, he's gotten much better at it and gotten the chance to try all sorts of new things. He's pretty proud of his cooking skils by now.

12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: Luceti has matured Emil. A LOT. He's braver now, less apologetic, and more likely to look on the bright side rather than be pessimistic. Of course, he's still a derp who has a tendency to forget to introduce himself to people, and he has a bad habit of sticking his foot in his mouth sometimes, but overall he's much more grown-up than he was when he first arrived. Perhaps most importantly, he's come to terms with who - and what - he is. He accepts his dual nature as both human and non-human and is comfortable admitting it to others. Sure, he still has a ways to go before he and Ratatosk fully accept each other, but they're on the right path. He finally he believes that he can be useful just by being himself.

13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: Yes, Emil has a one-handed sword that he uses in combat, though in Luceti it tends to stay home most of the time.

14) Do they have any pets? Would these pets be at their homes, or do they hang out with the character in question?: Ahahaha Emil has a small zoo at his house, I am not even kidding. He has his chimera Sial, who was a gift from the Malnosso, a cat named Sherbet (one of Foot's kittens), a squirrel named Peanut, and various and sundry birds that he's rescued after they fell out of their nests. Sial is the only one who actually accompanies him anywhere, though.

15) Who are their neighbors?: Ami and Rei and Czes, Maiza, Luke, Layton, and Flora!

16) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? Well, Caius is his housemate, so they're pretty good buddies. Aside from that... oh my god why are you asking me this, Emil knows everyone. EVERYONE. And he's always spending time with them, either in person or by chatting over the journals. CANNOT BE TAMED. Emil is a people person and thrives on contact with others.

17) On the flip side, is there anyone they actively don’t get along with? How do they interact, and would people know about this? Emil gets along with... pretty much everyone, or at least THINKS he gets along with everyone. Hal might have a different opinion on this matter. But Emil likes him! He just thinks Hal is a grumpy gus.

18) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: The Welcome Center, Celsius Tear, and sometimes Good Spirits!

19) Do they belong to any clubs or organizations? Which ones? Do they go regularly, or just occasionally? He is the head of Brave Vesperia! Naturally this means he is always at meetings, and he also goes to stuff like the New Feather parties and the Cultural Fair to promote it there. He knows he sort of failed at being a leader for a while there, so he's putting in extra effort now to do a good job.

20) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: Green, and for the most part he just sort of ignores them. He's gotten so used to them by now that he forgets they're even there.

21) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: Nope. Emil won't grow at all due to what he is, at least not without conscious decision on his part (and Ratatosk's powers).

22) What do they miss the most from home?: HIS FRANS. Richter, Marta and Tenebrae especially. He would give just about anything to be able to see them again.

23) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: ... ahaha. It's fairly messy, and that's putting it nicely. His writing is similar to the way he talks, only without the occasional stammering and the "um"s and "well"s.

24) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: ... nope. Emil is just as derpy over the journals as he is in person, sometimes even more so.

25) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: Emil is determined to not only find a way to get back to his own world, but to be able to visit all of his other friends in different worlds too. Now that he's learned about space travel, he's even more convinced that this will be possible. He just needs to find the way.

26) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: Upgrade! Electricity and technology really aren't that common where he comes from outside of some areas, so this is all new and exciting. Aside from detonating a potato in a microwave once, he's been doing a pretty good job learning how to use all of these strange new devices. He's especially fond of the TV in the rec center.

27) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: Emil doesn't really attend classes with any regularity anymore because he considers himself an adult and therefore too old to be a full-time student. He's not much of a fan of homework, either, and will go to considerable lengths to avoid doing it.

28) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?: He likes Buffy's McCoys and anything that doesn't taste too boozy. If it's too strong, he won't like it... which means he mostly likes girly drinks. Good Spirits all the way because Buffy and Asch are bartenders, meaning he gets the chance to chat with them whenever he visits (which isn't all that often). To him, drinking is just something he gets the urge for every now and then; he's never been drunk-drunk and isn't really interested in that at all. Sometimes he just wants to be a little bit buzzed.

29) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: RATATOSK MODE. And by that I mean he has another side of him that comes out in battle (or when he's really angry/scared), and this side isn't nearly as nice as Emil is. Ratatosk is arrogant, brutal, and generally unpleasant to humans. He's also a giant brat who has a tendency to act quite childish when things don't go his way. Needless to say, Emil tries to avoid letting him out, and for good reason.

30) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? ... you know, I'm sure he has, but I am drawing a total and utter blank on this right now.

31) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? Emil hates drafts. HATES. He lets Ratatosk take over to do the fighting for a good reason and he doesn't really want to know what Ratatosk does while he's in charge. When he can, he prefers to avoid the fighting altogether.

32) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? Emil has never been on a mission, so this one is a big N/A.

33) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: It'll be five years for him in August. Which is longer than he's actually "lived" in his own world, and he finds that to be an odd thought. As a result, Luceti feels more like home to him than his world does and he's not in any real hurry to leave, all things considered. This is especially true given the fact that the people in his hometown of Luin were sort of horrible to him, whereas the people in Luceti have been kind. So... yeah, no real hurry to go back home. He likes all of the people he's met and the things he's done and learned here.

34) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? Emil tends to go spend time with his friends and pets to cheer himself up after something really bad happens. Anything to get his mind off whatever it was. In his mind, if he can think about happy things instead, it makes the bad things that much more bearable.

35) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? LUCETILAND WAS AWESOME OKAY OKAY. In less awesome things, his worst experience was probably that experiment where he stumbled across Faize's dead body after the Malnosso killed him. That was a pretty traumatic experience for him.

36) Anything else you want to note?: DEAR GOD HAS IT REALLY BEEN ALMOST FIVE YEARS Emil is just like a fluffy blond barnacle who won't leave

Richard

[personal profile] ledbythewind 2013-06-20 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
1) Height: 5'10"

2) Weight: Currently around 130 lbs. He toes the line between being just plain skinny and being actually underweight.

3) Eye color/Hair Color: Blond hair, hazel eyes, despite what some of his icons might show. He had one red eye for Plot Reasons, but that's no longer the case in Luceti.

4) Age: He's now 22; he arrived in Luceti at age 19.

5) Physical features: As mentioned above, Richard is a scrawny little thing at the moment. He's got perpetual dark circles beneath his eyes, and his skin is very much on the pale side. In sum, he looks like he's not in the best of health, which would be an accurate assessment. He also has a single stubborn bang that has a tendency to stick up no matter what he does with it.

6) Voice: Over here!

7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: He lives with Asbel, Isamu, and Pascal, and he does some chores as well as about half of the cooking. With four people in the house, the chores get divided up pretty evenly.

8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: NATTO TOAST, much to everyone else's dismay. It's the one thing he's almost always guaranteed to eat no matter how stressed he is. The cooking is usually divided between him and Isamu, since they're the only ones with any real experience in that department thanks to working at Seventh Heaven.

9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: If he has a shift at Seventh Heaven, he'll go to that; aside from that, he tends to be on the reclusive side and spends most of his free time at home either sleeping or reading or hanging with his friends. And doing chores/cooking dinner, of course.

10) Their general sense of fashion: Think the slightly dressier side of Japanese/Asian fashion and you've pretty much got it, with a preference for bold prints and bright colors. (It's all Isamu's fault.)

11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Richard plays the violin and reads, both of which were hobbies he had back in his world. He hasn't touched his violin in a while, though. He's also learned how to cook, which he puts to use while feeding his household.

12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: Very much yes, for the negative. He's pretty much been soured on romance and the concept of happy endings in general. Well, to be more specific, he believes in happy endings, just not for himself. His overall outlook on things has become even more pessimistic than it was previously

13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: A rapier (yes, that is considered a rapier), which is left at home most of the time. He's skilled with cryas artes/magic too, so he doesn't need it.

14) Do they have any pets? Would these pets be at their homes, or do they hang out with the character in question?: Graces House has a cat named Tiger Festival; now that Cheria is gone, Richard has sort of adopted her as "his" and dotes on her. She stays at home, though.

15) Who are their neighbors?: Moraine and Siuan on one side, Bulma and Vegeta on the other, and the Uzumaki family across the road.

16) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? Asbel is Richard's best friend from his world, and Isamu is the best friend he made here. Richard is clingy. VERY clingy. He's with one or both of them almost constantly; it's rare that he's too far apart from either one of them. They're the most important people in his life, period. He shares a room with Isamu and the two of them both work at Seventh Heaven together... hell, they do pretty much everything together. Pascal is also a good friend from home, though slightly lesser on the scale than Asbel or Isamu.

17) On the flip side, is there anyone they actively don’t get along with? How do they interact, and would people know about this? Not really? Richard is a pretty easy-going guy for the most part; it isn't often that he doesn't get along with someone.

18) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: Seventh Heaven and his house. He lives a wild life, really.

19) Do they belong to any clubs or organizations? Which ones? Do they go regularly, or just occasionally? Nope.

20) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: Green, and he mostly just ignores them.

21) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: His hair is a bit longer and he's lost a considerable amount of weight. He weighed around 148 lbs when he first arrived and he's 130 lbs now.

22) What do they miss the most from home?: Lhant Hill and the sopherias there, and also the hill to the north of Barona Castle where he goes to clear his head.

23) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: BLARGH I actually had an example of his handwriting and now I can't find it. It's very neat and proper, because that's what's expected of a king. His tutors made sure of that much. His writing tends to be a bit more formal than his speech for the same reason, though they're still quite similar.

24) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: Not really; Richard is Richard, regardless of the medium. He's a little goofier in person sometimes, but he trolls over the journals too.

25) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: He's bringing Isamu back home with them come hell or high water, whatever it takes. As far as losing goals... he's pretty much given up on the idea of him ever getting to be happy and has decided to focus entirely on the welfare of the people of Windor and of Ephinea in general.

26) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: Upgrade; electricity isn't really a thing in Ephinea (they use cryas lamps and stuff like that). He's adapted well for the most part, with no unfortunate exploding potato incidents.

27) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: N/A

28) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?: ANYTHING WITH TEQUILA IN IT AND THAT IS ALL SHERYL'S FAULT. No, really, Richard isn't picky. If it has alcohol in it, he'll drink it, since he isn't exactly drinking for the taste. He tends to frequent Good Spirits a few times a week; drinking is (sadly) one of the few coping mechanisms he has, meaning he indulges in it more frequently than he really should. He drinks to get drunk, because being drunk takes the edge off of things. That's all he's really in it for.

29) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: Richard is a talented swordsman and mage-- of the Graces party members, he's probably the most equally balanced between physical artes and cryas artes. He's also a violinist, though he rarely indulges that hobby here.

Oh. And there is his superhero secret identity, the Mask of Barona. Richard is a giant nerdy fanboy, okay.

30) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? He has learned how to cook! This is a big deal given that he never had to cook for himself back in his own world, man. He's also learned how to be a waiter at Seventh Heaven, something that would be absolutely unheard of for a king to do. And he likes doing it!

31) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? Richard will do whatever he can to avoid killing, though if it comes down to a cultist's life versus that of his friends, he'll kill without hesitation.

32) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? Richard has never been on a mission!

33) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: A little over three years now, not counting the two times he briefly returned home (for canon updates). As said above, Luceti has done a real number on him physically, emotionally, and mentally. He's just sort of given up on a lot of things now-- most of the fight has been sucked right out of him, and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he's pretty seriously depressed. He's good at hiding it, but it's becoming more and more obvious now.

34) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? Richard has a tendency to run away/withdraw from people completely when he's overwhelmed, which leads to him often just leaving the house for a couple of days to hole up in an empty apartment until he feels up to dealing with people again. Once he's gotten past that, he'll cling to Isamu and Asbel like crazy, often quite literally in Isamu's case. And then there's the drinking.

Healthy coping mechanisms? What are those?

35) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? His first Valentine's Day was an utter, utter disaster. He ended up macking on his boyfriend's best friend, got dumped as a result, and was then ported off on a draft right after. It was a thoroughly miserable experience that has left him with longstanding emotional scars that haven't healed even to this day.

Luceti Valley was pleasant, if only because it gave him the chance to experience what being part of a normal family was like. Of course, the aftermath was painful when he realized it was all just an experiment, but the experiment itself made him very happy.

36) Anything else you want to note?: Richard is basically a giant dork at heart. He's not nearly as serious as he appears most of the time!
