Ikki | Legend of Korra ...part 1

[personal profile] breezing 2013-06-20 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
1) Height: Ikki's pretty short at about four foot one. THIS IS A GUESS.

2) Weight: Fifty-two pounds. Also a guess, but this was done from height/weight charts for children, so uh.

3) Eye color/Hair Color: Ikki has gray-blue eyes, leaning towards gray. Her hair, meanwhile, is black. It's normally back in buns, but she's been known to wear it down in Luceti if she's being fancy, or in whatever style Katara or whomever feels like helping her out with.

4) Age: Seven. She'll be eight in a few months, but yep! Ikki looks her age, and acts it, so.

5) Physical features: Her icons are pretty spot-on, really. No new additions in Luceti in terms of typical looks.

6) Voice: Out of the way daddy! We're DRIVING here! The only clip I could find easily. Ikki talks pretty fast once she's rambling (she's a motor mouth if you give her any leeway at all) and is fairly expressive in tone. It's never hard to tell what she's feeling or thinking.

7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: Ikki lives at House 56 with Aang (her roommate!), Katara, Sokka, Bolin, Korra, and Asami. And, of course, the Avatar menagerie: Soren, Appa, Momo, Naga, Pabu, Prince Petunia, Foo Foo...Ikki has chores assigned to her by the Aang/Katara/Sokka (normally Katara, probably), and will help with meal prep (in terms of what she can do, so nothing fancy/with knives/fire) and cleaning away dishes. Dishes are probably a pretty big part of her chore roster. She's also undoubtedly on the roster for animal care, and is nominally in charge of Petunia and obviously Soren. She has to make her bed and other ordinary things in the morning. Pretty much Ikki has the sort of chores you might expect a seven-year-old to have in a house populated by fairly reasonable older family members!

8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: CHOCOLATE IS AMAZING, and she doesn't eat meat, being an air nomad! Ikki is actually not too picky. That is, she'll try anything (sans meat) at least once, but won't sugarcoat her thoughts about it. She likes vegetable dishes and anything sweet best, and doesn't much care for sour things. Katara does a lot of the cooking, but Aang does a lot of the vegetable dishes, too. Breakfast for Ikki tends to be handled by whoever is up wth her in the mornings, which has meant Sokka, Aang, or Bolin in the past, but not Katara, who gets up a bit later than she does.

9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: Ikki generally goes to any event she hears about or is invited to (typically tagging along with family or friends), so her schedule is pretty flexible - although she attends school whenever it's in session. When left to her own devices she can often be found hanging out at the fountain or the playground or visiting friends or playing at the air gates, but she'll often go exploring around the town itself. She's never alone, as Soren the swellow is a now constant companion on these adventures. She has a few set in stone activities, though: airbending practice with Aang (and Korra?) in the mornings and dinner with the family at House 56. Dinner at their house is a mandatory event, so. The people Ikki visits the most and the things she's most likely to do with them? Ikki frequently drops by the bakery to chat with Rapunzel about nothing/the Art Club; now that Chien's back she tries to make time for him; she occasionally has tutoring sessions with Raine one-on-one; she's been known to drop by the smithy to see her uncle, and also Raven (whom Soren likes to drop in on, and Ikki likes to oblige Soren); she's fond of Shikamaru and Masaomi and Korra so she probably hangs out at the convenience store sometimes nowadays; aaaand she'll go by the farm sometimes for fun. And is still guilt-tripping Tony into giving her baseball lessons, because why not.

10) Their general sense of fashion: She's taken to wearing some more modern-ish clothing from the shops at times (particularly when playing). Shorts and t-shirts and such, and lots of sundresses. She still gravitates to airbender colors, though! When they aren't in reds or yellows or oranges, Ikki tends to wear a lot of pink and other colors that a seven-year-old girl might be drawn to, because of course. Other things to note about her - she has a set of prayer beads around her right wrist 24/7, with wooden beads. Evenly spaced around them are beads for each of the four nations - although Aang had to make the fire nation one, since he BURNT IT DURING A CANON UPDATE. It's a treasure from Grandpa!

11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: She has lots! She likes drawing, and playing with grandpa, and playing with Soren, and practicing airbending...Really, the only things to change in what she likes to do are who she does things with. Well, and she's been known to go to the Battle Dome for non-combative stuff, and that definitely is a new thing in terms of haha didn't exist at home. She also knows how to play blackjack now, so there's that. Honestly Ikki will pick up anything that seems fun and try it, pretty much.

12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: Not...really? She's actually matured a bit, although it might be hard to tell with how perky and childish she still is. Ikki's had a lot of talks with Aang and Katara in particular that helped her grow up some, though, because she knows she has to grow up, with where she is.

13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: Does Soren count? He's with her 24/7. Otherwise, Ikki has a glider Sokka made her for last Christmas, and that's usually on her, too. Ikki's an airbender, and also seven, just as a reminder; she doesn't really actually fight. She'd just dodge the hell out of things and tattle to Aang/Katara/Sokka/Korra/Bolin/Asami/Suki at the first chance she got. OR ANY OF HER OTHER CR, TBH. While she's capable of a certain level of defense and has mowed down grown men in canon with an air scooter, she didn't do that until said men invaded her home island. Generally, Ikki will just complain about things verbally or pout rather than, you know, start a fight, which goes against the whole air nomad thing. She also has a boomerang Sokka made her, but she considers that "fun thing to throw and make come back" or possibly "can knock fruit off trees" rather than "deadly weapon", and anyway she's not the greatest with that (though she can shove air to make it go further! ...for...what good that does).

14) Do they have any pets? Would these pets be at their homes, or do they hang out with the character in question?: The Avatar menagerie all counts to one degree or another: Soren, Appa, Momo, Naga, Pabu, Prince Petunia, Foo Foo. Soren and Petunia are the ones Ikki considers most readily "hers", although Soren is always introduced as a partner/her best friend rather than a pet. Petunia is always introduced as a pet (he's a starfish). Petunia tends to stay at home in his tank except on special occasions. Soren is with Ikki pretty much 24/7, and while he has a pokeball, he's pretty much never in it ever.

15) Who are their neighbors?: Anyone who lives near House 56.

16) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? EVERYONE HER AGE KEEPS LEAVING. But! Aside from Soren (whom she counts), Aang is probably her best friend. Yes, she considers her grandfather her best friend. She spends a lot of time with Aang, from morning to evening. They share a room (bunk beds! Ikki has the lower set) and do training every morning, and they attend school together, and she...honestly just likes spending time with her grandpa, he is the best. Other than him, she'd list anyone from her cast as a friend, although Bolin is one of those more willing to play with her (tea parties), and Asami has been making her more of the metal wind-up people like at the culture fair. Cross-canon wise she's really super fond of Chien (♥ CHIEN), RAPUNZEL (whom she wants to invite to a slumber party), Raine (although Raine is "Sifu Raine" rather than a friend as such), Shikamaru, Masaomi, AND...lots of people honestly? She's adopted a ton of people and talks to others a lot, and will actively spend time with anyone who wants to spend time with her. She does different things with different people, and likes them all.

17) On the flip side, is there anyone they actively don’t get along with? How do they interact, and would people know about this? HAHA YES...She's seven and precocious and annoying, of course there are people she doesn't get on with. MOST NOTABLY is probably Vegeta, whom she frequently has petty arguments with because they are the most mature when combined. She also still sort of has a grudge against all her previous pen pals from the Hydra Social Project because none of them were really ~pen pals~ with her (she got a lot of forced-to-participate types). Other than that, there are people whom she hasn't gotten on with, but no one that really merits specific mention, since she hasn't had repeated interactions with most of those (unlike Vegeta) and isn't holding a specific petty grudge (unlike the Hydra Social folks). SHE'S SEVEN AND IS NOT THE MOST MATURE.

18) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: I FEEL I'VE COVERED THIS A LOT. Beyond home, she loves the FOUNTAIN, the AIRBENDING GATES, the PLAYGROUND, the SCHOOL, and the stores run by people she likes: the BAKERY, the FLOWER SHOP, the CONVENIENCE STORE, etc. Ikki's easy to find pretty much anywhere, and is considering going into Good Spirits during the day if she gets permission because Buffy said they have FRUIT SMOOTHIES!!!! for kids.

19) Do they belong to any clubs or organizations? Which ones? Do they go regularly, or just occasionally? The Art Club, of course, which she co-founded/runs with Rapunzel. It's held the 2nd Sunday of every month unless 1) they announce a change/extra meeting or 2) everyone forgets it's a thing because experiment and they have to reschedule. If people remember it's a thing it's held regardless of experiments on the grounds that rescheduling around experiments sounds hard and sort of POINTLESS to Ikki, who is sure that if they rescheduled a new thing would happen on that day, gosh. She attends regularly, of course! Ikki also belonged to the Hydra Social Project, and wrote every partner she had (despite a lack of returns) until a month she boycotted on the grounds she and her partner were on the outs from being partnered the previous month.

Ikki | Legend of Korra part 2

[personal profile] breezing 2013-06-20 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
20) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: A very pale yellow, nearly white! Ikki sort of ignores them on the whole, these days - that is, she's used to them. Beyond clothing holes for them, she pays them very little mind, although she likes seeing other people's wings (she's convinced wing colors = life/soul colors).

21) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: Not a lot, nope. She hasn't even gotten that much taller!! It's UNFAIR.

22) What do they miss the most from home?: Her family, full stop.

23) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: Childish but readable and neat! Ikki notably gets bored of black ink in the journals and will use markers/crayon as she sees fit, and will occasionally doodle in the margins of her responses (typically flowers or the like). She writes about the same way she talks, and underlines things when she gets excited. I actually picked out a font because of this silly thing; Ikki's the pink font.

24) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: She is exactly the same. Ikki notably never filters anything, and not just because she doesn't really GET filters still (she always has other people do it, or allows them to do it, if they feel the need to talk to her privately). She just doesn't see any reason to filter anything at all, so she...doesn't.

25) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: Well, she did want to get to know her new baby brother. :|

26) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: Upgrade in some ways, downgrade in others! There are no cars or airships or factories here, after all, but holy shit the battle dome. And these electronics are way beyond hers - she has like, rotary telephones, not these fancy schmancy ones.

27) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: She likes art best, followed closely by music! And MATH CAN SUCK IT. She likes counting/addition, but fractions are basically the bane of her life, although she's...getting better about that, with one-on-one attention from Raine. But then things like Loki's equation on chaos (??? HER HEAD STILL HURTS...) happen and she's less sure she's getting the hang of it...is she supposed to know how to do that...? In general, Ikki is a decent student. She's actually pretty well-behaved and respectful of the teachers, and she turns in all her work on time. Of course, one of her guardians also attends school with her (HI GRANDPA) so, uh. THERE'S THAT. She has probably been caught passing notes to people (including said guardian) before, however. Whoops.

28) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?:

29) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: She's an airbender, with all that entails. Ikki's also got a pretty good memory, and can parse fast-talkers like herself without issue. SHE'S ALSO GREAT AT COLLECTING GOSSIP, for...whatever that's worth.

30) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? Ikki's been training under Aang, so her airbending has been improving at the rate it would have improved back home, if not better (because Aang). She's picked up a few non-native skills; Sokka has given her boomerang lessons because it sounded COOL, although she...doesn't really take that as it should be probably; she's learned to cook some things she wouldn't have otherwise gotten to learn to make; aaaand she's learned a lot of arts and craft stuff from the Art Club! Just various things, really. She's now actively trying to learn more about the spirits and maybe to talk to them in the wake of the possession plot, because she felt kinda helpless when her entire family was possessed. 8C She asked Raine for tutoring on that topic.

31) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? HAHA DRAFTS...Ikki's never been on one, although she was called that one time. It's highly unlikely the Avatar cast would be okay with her being taken away, and between the lot of them they can probably manage to keep it that way for now. If she ever did go on a draft she'd stick like glue to someone she knew and would attempt to help in the sense of...helping, but killing at seven with the whole "pacifistic air nomad culture" thing is SORT OF NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN, SORRY.

32) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? There aren't really missions a seven-year-old could go on, and again why would her guardians let her go on any? Ikki is aware that points are a thing, and missions are a thing, but it seems like something that has nothing to do with her.

33) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: (IE. getting used to the place, not wanting to leave, being less/more inclined to do something about their situation, so on) Ikki arrived on July 3rd, 2012, so next month she will have been in Luceti a year, not counting the ~1 month period where school forced me to idle out. :|a She's adapted in the way a small child can, especially when the grandfather she never knew but always wanted to meet is there, but she...really misses her family. A lot. Leaving to go home sounds great, but Ikki also...isn't sure what she would do, because that also means leaving everyone else, right?? She just tries not to think about it, since she doesn't really have any ideas on what to do. She's a bit more mature than she was at home (...a BIT) and is more likely to talk about grandpa/the family here than she is her family at home, these days.

34) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? (IE. do they spend time on their own, go drink away their troubles, confide in their friends, and so on.) Spends time with her family, meditates, or asks for extra airbending practice with Aang.

35) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? ACTUALLY NOTHING TOO BAD? She didn't like almost being drafted and she hates forgetting everyone she knows and loves, but...overall, Ikki's been pretty lucky. And she enjoys the variety of stuff happening, although some of it is just plain weird. :| She actually enjoyed flying with people in the last event, and she's enjoyed some of the holiday-related events.

36) Anything else you want to note?: TREASURES, which is slightly behind in terms of being updated. ALSO FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS, ETC.
prims: (+ i like the sound of that.)

Primrose Everdeen | The Hunger Games

[personal profile] prims 2013-06-20 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
1) Height: About five foot five. It's a guesstimate, yeah.

2) Weight: About one hundred and nineteen pounds, tops.

3) Eye color/Hair Color: Blue eyes, blonde hair. Prim often has her hair in braids - two or the ocassional single french braid - but also sometimes just pulls it back or leaves it down as the mood takes her. She's been experimenting, typically at night when she's having trouble sleeping.

4) Age: She's fourteen, since May 28th.

5) Physical features: Nothing in particular. There are a few scars from childhood falls and the like, but other than a decided leanness that still lingers after a month in Luceti, Prim doesn't seem to show anything out of the ordinary.

6) Voice: Here is an Elle Fanning voice clip; Prim tends to speak a tad more quietly, but that's about it.

7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: She lives at House 43 with Katniss Everdeen, Richard Sharpe, and Effie Trinkett. Almost all of them have a hand in doing things from my understanding, but Prim herself enjoys cleaning and cooking, so she's happy to do those. Now that she has a goat again (♥ India) she's going to start making goat cheese once I do in-depth research on it (QUIET, YOU). Prim also is actively helping Sharpe with the vegetable garden undertaking! And she makes it a point to get fresh flowers into a few strategically placed vases around the house. In terms of laundry, she probably only takes care of hers and Katniss' things, unless Richard accepts otherwise (she'd be too worried about doing something wrong to Effie's things to offer there, uh), when it's there to do/whatever. I don't think there's a formal chore chart or anything, but I could be wrong. :|a

8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: Prim is the least picky about food. Food is food, okay. She likes fruits and stews, though. In terms of cooking, Prim canonically has a "knack" for it, so she's more than happy to help out there. House 43 seems to be full of independent types, though, so.

9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: Various things. Prim wakes up early (...sometimes she doesn't sleep through the night), gets up and makes breakfast for herself and anyone else up who hasn't eaten/doesn't have other plans, makes sure to feed Buttercup and India, water any and all houseplants. She helps out around the house, and attends school if it's in session. She works at 7th Heaven, so she can often be found there, playing waitress. Prim spends a fair amount of time at the library - she's taken to going in at least once a week to check out a bunch of books, and then to going back in later to trade those out for a new stack. She also gravitates towards the clinics, sort of...peering in at them. And she's starting to make more friends, and will begin paying them visits.

10) Their general sense of fashion: Skirts and blouses. Sweaters in colder weather. Plain lace-up boots and thick socks. Prim dresses simply but nicely, and her wardrobe is admittedly a little limited in that she has what she needs and little else. She's...working on being okay with the idea of suddenly having a lot of options, okay.

11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: She reads a lot these days, especially if she wakes up and can't sleep. This is a slightly new hobby; she could read at home, but there weren't actually options, and there wasn't usually time. She also is going to take up goat-cheese making again, which is not a new hobby. Coddling Buttercup counts, and is also not a new hobby.

12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: She's...sort of learned a state of perpetual baffled acceptance to all this magic, but that's pretty much it so far.

13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: Sokka gave her a knife for her birthday, and she carries that around at all times because it makes Katniss feel better. Honestly, Prim's not sure she could ever actually use it on someone, so...Katniss probably counts, in that she's Prim's main line of defense. :|b

14) Do they have any pets? Would these pets be at their homes, or do they hang out with the character in question?: Absolutely she does! Prim has Buttercup, first and foremost - he's a really, really ugly tomcat who hates everyone and everything but Prim (and he...has an understanding with Katniss). Prim treats him and thinks of him like a defenseless kitten, and sort of coddles him and loves him without reserve. Buttercup goes where Buttercup wants, but Prim sees him a fair amount throughout the day, and he always sleeps on her pillow at night, guarding her. India the goat is newer, and was Katniss' birthday present to Prim. India lives out back of House 43, and is basically a goat. Prim loves her, too.

15) Who are their neighbors?: Houses 44 and 48 are the nearest to them; of said neighbors, Prim's only really spoken to Helios (ongoing, cultural fair) and Makie, whom happens to be a coworker. House 45 is also nearish, and she's spoken to Twilight Sparkle from there.

16) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? Katniss is her best friend in Luceti. While they have their own things to do, Prim tries to spend a fair amount of time with Katniss, and at least makes sure to meet up at the end of each day to recount what happened. She tries not to encroach on Katniss' time, though, and has a sort of live-and-let-live approach to her sister (i.e. Katniss goes hunting and Prim just wishes her luck and goes off to do whatever she was going to do). Other people she's fond of so far: Richard Sharpe, Teddy Altman, Chouji, Makie, and she rather likes Rin, too. She's still going on some threads at her birthday party, but will undoubtedly pick up a few more people she likes.

17) On the flip side, is there anyone they actively don’t get along with? How do they interact, and would people know about this? Not so far? Prim's generally really willing to back off if people get testy, and is only likely to get snappish if Katniss is endangered or upset, which hasn't come up yet.

18) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: She's most often found at House 43, Seventh Heaven, or the Library. She also runs errands at the shops, though.

19) Do they belong to any clubs or organizations? Which ones? Do they go regularly, or just occasionally? Not as such, no. Prim signed up for speed dating on the grounds Teddy's name was mentioned and cookies by Teddy were offered, but otherwise hasn't really given any thought to the organizations.

20) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: Plain white. Prim does admittedly jump a little at seeing them sometimes. She makes a face every time it happens, because you'd think she would learn...Prim tries to be careful of her wings, and is slowly learning to sort of just not overthink it, but...yeah. You'll see her lean back sometimes, remember, and then lean forward. Things like that.

21) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: It's only really been a month! ...And in that month, she's had a month she wouldn't have had otherwise. So there's that.

22) What do they miss the most from home?: Her mother, to be honest. Prim knows Katniss wouldn't wish for their mother to be there, but...that's the person (and the thing) Prim misses most from home.

23) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: Very neat and tiny. She tends to use cursive over print, although when she uses print it's sort of half-cursive, the letters joined up at certain points despite herself.

24) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: Not really. Prim's polite and friendly on and off the system, and generally acts exactly the same.

25) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: She...sort of gained goals. Since she can have them now, and she couldn't at home, where she sort of died. Now there's a very real chance of making a life again, for as long as she's around.

26) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: A weird combination of both. Luceti is definitely more advanced than District 12, but the Capitol and District 13 have Luceti beat in certain ways. And some of the technology is just different. In terms of magic, it's a definite upgrade, and that's still weird.

27) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: Science is Prim's definite favorite; it's the first science class she's had that didn't focus on, you know, coal. As to least favorite - Prim doesn't actively dislike any class, actually, since it's more of an education that she was afforded back home, but she's probably least interested in writing. In terms of behaviour she's very polite, punctual, and unassuming. She's never given the teachers reason to despair as of yet.

28) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?:

29) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: Prim's trained in basic medicine. She's also good at making goat cheeses. And according to canon, she has a "knack" for cooking, flower-arranging, and flute-playing. All three of those were attempts to find Katniss a talent (they didn't stick).

30) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? Not currently, although it's likely she'll get some lessons on using a knife from Katniss (they...won't go too well, if so), and she's curious about asking Zevran to teach her how to carve up decorative fruit/will be doing that in her birthday log.

31) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? She's only been in Luceti for a month, so this hasn't happened yet! But Prim would focus on providing medical support. She can't actually picture herself killing anyone.

32) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? She's not gone on any, although she's admittedly eyed the medic missions...

33) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: A little over a month. She got to Luceti on May 1st. Prim...honestly doesn't want to go home, simply because what would she be going home to? She's sort of dealing with the whole dying thing still, and it's thus far mostly meant a really poor sleeping schedule. She tries not to bother other people about it.

34) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? She would curl up with Katniss or Buttercup or India, honestly, but it hasn't been required just yet.

35) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? She's only experienced the possession event. It...didn't suck, entirely?

36) Anything else you want to note?: Feel free to ask questions and whatever!
