THE DAILY LIFE MEME
GREETINGS LUCETIANS. Long ago, on a distant server, Kyio once unleashed a pleasant meme. But it’s been forever since we did it again.
Now it’s back again! With even MORE questions to tease your brains! This is your chance to show everyone how much thought you put into your roleplay and more importantly, offer a glimpse into your character’s Luceti life. Why does this matter? Well, it’s a handy way of helping other people play off you and consequently, make more interesting CR. So be a cool guy and try and fill it out!
Feel free to respond to each other's tags with IC or OOC responses, questions, or what have you. Have fun!
Albert Silverberg
2) Weight: 168 lbs. He's thin for his height, but does have some muscle on him now.
3) Eye color/Hair Color: Green eyes. Wine red-purple hair; it looks more red in the sunlight.
4) Age: 30 as of February 16 of this year. He looks his age ... or possibly a little older, considering his allergy to smiling.
5) Physical features: He has piercings on both ears and can be seen wearing small, silver hoop earrings and a simple ear clasp on a daily basis. His right wing is pierced, made more visible by the wing ornament (a silver clasp that hooks to the edge of the wing with a short length of silver chain) that he wears.
6) Voice: Low tenor. Eloquent and often with deliberate pacing, considering he's a noble. (...Not that that ever comes up.)
7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: He lives with Raine Sage in their house of many years, house 42. They share the housework ... and I'm fairly certain they do their own laundry.
8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: Raine has been doing more of the cooking the last few months, but Albert is likely to return to cooking more often with his cursed arm healed. He enjoys seafood and, perhaps ironically, game birds. He doesn't particularly like sweets.
9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: He works mornings over at Celsius Tear unless he's taking a day off. He tends to his garden every other day or so, and spends a lot of time in the mountains with his giant owl and practicing magic. Afternoons not spent in the mountains are generally spent riding his horse or spending time around the village, mostly in the plaza buildings (stores and library). Evenings, he's most likely to be staying in and reading.
10) Their general sense of fashion: Long-sleeved shirts and turtlenecks in solid colors -- shades of black, white, gray, blue, and green are his preference. He tends to wear dark trousers, but he'll wear jeans while riding.
11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: He took up gardening fairly early on in Luceti and has kept up with it. Horseback riding is something Albert did often back in his world, but mostly for business reasons; he rides for recreation. ...He's also taken to, um, giant owl flying.
12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: Albert has taken much more to the "c'est la vie" mindset that Silverbergs tend to practice, in comparison to his canon personality of pushing along his agenda by manipulating events. He also came to the decision three years ago that he would prefer to remain in this world and assist in seeing the world influx stopped or reversed, rather than leave and return multiple times and risk losing the information he's gathered.
13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: He has limited experience with a sword and shield; he can at least keep grip on the weapon and ... well, slash and hack. He's very out of practice, as he doesn't train with anyone. He's more inclined to practice magic (both his canon's runic magic and Filial magic), and he wears a Guardian's Eye ring under his glove, allowing him to create magical blasts.
14) Do they have any pets? Would these pets be at their homes, or do they hang out with the character in question?: His horse, Astrid, was a winter gift from the Malnosso one year. He's developed an ... owl following from the original elf owl he "befriended" in Luceti, Rune -- three generations of elf owls recognize him on sight, sadly enough. He also has a giant owl as a fifth Luceti anniversary gift from Bil. The giant owl was sarcastically given the name Biliruben, and the name has since then stuck.
15) Who are their neighbors?: Houses 40 and 50's residents are the closest neighbors.
16) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what?
Albert takes issue to the term "friend."He's closest to Raine and Sheena, with Buffy coming up behind them. He sees Raine and Sheena on pretty much a daily basis.17) On the flip side, is there anyone they actively don’t get along with? How do they interact, and would people know about this? There's no one he actively doesn't get along with; it tends to take awhile to make attachments to the point of not getting along with people.
18) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: Celsius Tear (the tea shop), the small stables beside house 42, the mountains north of the hot springs teleporter.
19) Do they belong to any clubs or organizations? Which ones? Do they go regularly, or just occasionally? He's not officially with any clubs or organizations.
20) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: His wings are black; a softer shade, unlike the deep black they would have been under Twila's influence. He's grown used to them and lets them remain out unless he's wearing a coat. ...Which is fairly often.
21) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: He's aged six years since arriving in Luceti, picking up scars and wounds along the way. He's only recently gotten rid of the physical signs of the curse that had taken over his left arm.
22) What do they miss the most from home?: Perhaps unsurprisingly, his job and the familiarity that entailed.
23) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: His handwriting is a neat, professional script; his job called for the necessity of legible handwriting. He's less likely to use contractions while writing.
24) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: He's pretty much the same in person as he is over the journals; it's just more obvious how aloof he is face-to-face.
25) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: Personal renown and a high-ranking job were the driving factors for Albert back in his world. Those goals were pretty much tossed to the wayside in Luceti.
26) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: Technological upgrade. He's adapted well, owning a laptop and printer and knowing how to work with both of them.
27) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: N/A
28) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?: Kanakan wine; he stops by Good Spirits periodically to pick up wine bottles that Buffy sets aside for him. He prefers to drink alone, but did do the social drinking thing back in his world.
29) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: Albert is a prodigious military strategist and tactician from a family of strategists and tacticians; though young, he orchestrated the movements of three factions into a war with an outcome that benefitted him. Through the magic of his world, he is a summoner; through the Observer (Rem)'s meddling, he can summon in Luceti if he wished to. He's also a rune sage now, capable of embedding and removing runes.
30) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? As mentioned, he is now a rune sage; this allows him to handle runes and embed them on people or on some inanimate objects. He's also technology savvy for someone from his world, able to use computers with some proficiency, and able to drive an automobile.
31) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? He is majorly a noncombatant, doing anything from organization to communications of some kind. If things get crazy, he'll struggle through a fight and is willing to kill if necessary.
32) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? While on missions, he's about as talkative as he can be; he tries to learn what he can about the world and whatever enclosure he currently is in. He's careful not to do anything that will look suspicious.
33) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: He's been around since the beginning of the current Luceti cycle, so a total of 2,064 days. While he's been quieter overall, he still attempts to learn more about their situation and keep good relations with those who can dole out information.
34) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? ...He tends to sleep a lot. Then he'll go over and take care of his garden.
35) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? He's generally okay with the Valentine's experiment. The absolute worst experience he's had was either an experiment or accident in which mushi started appearing in Luceti; he was affected by morning glory mushi and had his sense of time terribly warped. Nothing else, not even the threat of death, caused him to panic and basically flip out as much as that.
36) Anything else you want to note?: ...Can't think of anything ... besides the wayward thought that he might like pain. /facepalms at self
