The Daily Life Meme

Friends, Lucetians, countrymen, lend me your ears! Once upon a time, Kyio (God rest her zombie bones) gave us a quaint little meme. Once again, more than a year has passed since it has been revisited, so awwwww here it goes...!

All you do is fill out the following survey! Now is the time to unleash all that tl;dr you've pent up for all this time. Let your fellow players know what your character gets up to in Luceti - hobbies, habits, hangouts, and more. Find out things you never knew about your CR! Find new cool cats to make CR with! Go, go, go!

As always, feel free to throw around IC or OOC responses and questions to each other. Have fun!

EDIT: Forgot Cloud Nine no longer exists, so I edited question 28 to include Seventh Heaven instead. WHOOPS.

Rock Lee!

[personal profile] niceguypose 2014-07-24 01:13 pm (UTC)(link)
1) Height: 172 cm - about 5'7.7".

2) Weight: Around 120 lbs.

3) Eye color/Hair Color: Black and black!

4) Age: So he's been in Luceti for two years now and turned 18 a month after joining (it turned out his canon point is right before Naruto's birthday, and Lee's birthday is the month after) so technically he'll be 20 in August. But his age was reset by a canon update in March 2013, so physically he'll still be 19 until next April-ish.

In short: mentally turning 20 next month; physically 19 until next April; and officially celebrates his birthday in November.

5) Physical features: Here is a full body image for reference. Nothing unusual or distinctive here, right?

Okay, maybe his eyebrows are bit most distinctly bushier than most. Perhaps his hair's bowlcut, with its mysterious gleam, is very distincive. And maybe his eyes, so wide with beady pupils and stunning eyelashes, can help to lead the image of an intense stare.

His arms are almost always wrapped in bandages, to help with his training. His hands are heavily callused from the intensity of his training.

6) Voice: His dub voice is the worst ever, and I use his Japanese voice as a basis for everything. Here are some omakes (1, 2, 3) and here is an amv summing up most of his pre-timeskip life with lots of voiced clips.

7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: He currently lives with Neji Hyuuga. He is probably very eager to handle the majority of the chores himself and tries to make challenges out of them.

8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: His official favorite foods are "medium spicy curry rice and curry pilaf". He has a general zest for curry in general. He does not have a least favorite food as he considers it impossible to dislike any kind of food (although Erica Fontaine's cooking was a big test in that regard). He has probably cooked moreso especially since he started working at Seventh Heaven, although it's very possible that Lee and Neji are each responsible for their own meals.

9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: Trains forever.

...Okay, he does some other things. He wakes up early and during the mornings, he runs taijutsu classes in the Battle Dome. He also runs a shift at Seventh Heaven sometime in the afternoon or evening. He may also find time to spend trying to research at the library, and when school is in session he will attend it during the morning/afternoon.

Aside from that... yeah, pretty much everything is training or activities that he amps up into training.

10) Their general sense of fashion: Green. He really isn't ever without his canon get-up, inspired by the fashion of Gai-Sensei: a green jumpsuit with his Konoha flak jacket and orange leg warmers. There's a chance that he may have some extra clothes lying around, and that they are fittingly dorky.

11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Training. Training's his hobby. Otherwise he generally likes to spend time with friends. They're pretty much things he always did.

12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: Lee has more or less maintained the same beliefs over time. Welll, he did learn about holidays like Christmas and wound up adapting his own view of Santa Claus as an impossible rival for him to overcome. Otherwise, for the most part he has been able to adapt his own views to this world.

13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: He has a few ninja weapons, such as the basic kunais and a pair of nunchaku, but he only sometimes carries them on them and almost never uses them. He prefers to use his own physical strengt to get through most situations.

14) Do they have any pets? Would these pets be at their homes, or do they hang out with the character in question?: Yes. He has a squirrel that was actually gifted from canon, and Lee decided to name him Taijutsu. He hangs out with Lee whenever his existence is remembered.

15) Who are their neighbors?: Ninjas ninjas everywhere, not a drop to drink. Living on the fourth floor (aka ninja floor) of the Flame Building, they're next door to Sakura's apartment. Other floormates include Temari, Riku and Shikamaru-Masaomi.

16) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? Some of his best friends are those from his homeworld such as Sakura, Neji and Shikamaru, and there's also Temari whom he's not as close with. He has also been building up other friends such as Bulla, Natalia, Erica Fontaine, Minako, Masaomi, Jean, Hilda, Crystal, Rin, Morgiana, Cilan, Ash, Silver, Haru, Quinn, Riku, Rikku, Little Mac and Nagisa. He wishes he was friends with Vegeta. He spends time with them whenever he sees them and very often likes to train with them, although he's also likely to indulge in their hobbies.

17) On the flip side, is there anyone they actively don’t get along with? How do they interact, and would people know about this? He tries to get along with Vegeta, but there's quite some friction there, from the differences in their demeanor/morality to the way shifts have messed with them in the past. Lee still looks up to Vegeta as a potential father figure despite his unyouthly nature. And with Perona... well shifts and misunderstandings have let bad blood accumulate to the point where she pretty much hates him, even if Lee still tries to get in her good graces. People could possibly know about either - Lee and Vegeta can be quite loud, while Lee and Perona had a mistletoe incident in the middle of Seventh Heaven last Christmas. There is also Itachi, who is from his own world, where he is kind of a criminal. Lee sees that Itachi means no harm here, but he still can be tense about talking to him and avoids him when he can.

18) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: He likes wide open areas of the forest for training purposes as well as tranquility. He likes the Battle Dome for the challenge. Seventh Heaven is a place where he likes to both work and hang out. The library for study purposes. And as a romantic he is fond of cherry blossom hill.

19) Do they belong to any clubs or organizations? Which ones? Do they go regularly, or just occasionally? He is technically a member of and a recruier for the art club, and he attends the meetings when they come.

20) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: They're green as his jumpsuit. He flaunts them proudly and tries to stimulate them as much as possible, determined against reason to obtain true flight.

21) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: For the most part, I believe that he's done growing and has more or less stayed the same. He probably makes sure to maintain his hair length regularly, possibly with the help of any of his friends.

22) What do they miss the most from home?: He misses Gai-Sensei and his guidance more than anything currently. In terms of locations, he misses Konoha as it was before Pain's attack, when life was relatively peaceful within the village.

23) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: It is very formal, tight and neat, but written at such a speed that it can look scattered. He very much writes the way he talks and will even write extra exclamation points. He just can't write out grunts, unfortunately.

24) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: For the most part, he can be as outrageous and loud in person as he is in the journals.

25) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: He's still set on his original goals - to make it as a hardworking ninja, to overcome his rivals, to protect those precious to him - but he has gained some others. Due to Neji being dead back home, he is set on finding a way to preserve his life upon bringing him back home. He doesn't want to settle for just finding a way back home for the living people. He also wants to train his wings to acquire true flight. Basically, RP pipe dreams.

26) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: It's an upgrade in a lot of ways. The Naruto world is kind of a weird mish-mash of olden Japan and random contemporary technology, but a majority of what's in Luceti has been an upgrade to him. Some things may be baffling for him to learn, but he has adapted to the Battle Dome in particular very well, and is good at setting up merciless scenarios.

27) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: He considers every class to be his favorite! And no least favorite because he's always learning! He is generally a well-behaved stickler for the rules in school. He is diligent in his studies but doesn't think before he speaks and can often ask repetitive or obvious questions. He channels his bold energy into raising his hand to make points or ask questions often. But his energy also causes him to get jittery from having to sit for so long. Maybe he sometimes excuses himself to run a few laps.

28) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or HQ? What's their attitude about and while drinking?: He avoids drinking at all costs - if he drinks even a drop, it induces a drunken fist rampage.

29) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: Rock Lee is notable for his lack of special talents, at least of any supernatural nature. From mediocre beginnings, however, he has trained rigorously to be a master of taijutsu, which is basically hand to hand combat. He has incredible physical strength and speed just from his training. He does also have some special techniques imparted by Gai-Sensei: the forbidden moves which involve opening the Eight Chakra Gates. These Gates, of which he can open six, put his body through incredible stress while multiplying his strength and speed.

30) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? Not explicitly. But he likely has been doing what he can to brush up on other fighting styles. He is also currently trying to learn underwater breathing in order to play blitzball.

31) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? Rock Lee makes rounds to find his friends and guarantee their safety. He is largely a follower and will take more or less any orders that are given to him. He is willing to kill, but he is also hesitant about it and will save it for a last resort. He is good at immobilizing enemies with crushing taijutsu blows, however.

32) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? Rock Lee tries to follow his missions to the letter - it's something that has familiarity to him, even though he was taught to do missions for Konoha only. He goes on them to experience the outside world and to challenge himself. He is uncertain of how to use his points.

33) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: He has been in Luceti for over two years now. In a lot of ways he's grown used to it and maintained his optimism, even when facing hard truths such as Neji's death. And with all of the friends he has lost over time, especially the blow of losing Rapunzel. He remains determined to live his life in the way Gai-Sensei would want it and to keep getting stronger while continuing to try to be happy. Over time, he has clung to the image of Gai-Sensei more and more, trying to grow to be more like him. And when Naruto was last here, they hatched a very shounen scheme together to escape this world and to bring the dead back with them so they could be alive again. Despite Naruto's absence, Lee still holds onto that dream as hope for Neji. In some ways, he's become more blindly optimistic despite everything.

34) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? He just tries to train his way through it all. Sometimes he may find comfort in one of his friends.

35) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? He mostly dislikes the Valentines and mistletoe experiments because of how they mess with emotions and make him feel guilty about they make him act towards others afterwards. He actually did like the shift which made him part of Vegeta's family, as well as the shift in which he sang a romantic duet with Rapunzel once, but he still feels guilt about liking those because the associated feelings are associated in falsehood.

36) Anything else you want to note?: He wants to fight everyone.

Nightcrawler

[personal profile] wildbluevagner 2014-07-26 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
1) Height: Somewhere from 5'7"-5'9". He looks shorter than he is because of his odd posture.

2) Weight: Around 130-140 lbs.

3) Eye color/Hair Color: In his true form, he has blue hair and yellow eyes. His human holo-form has black eyes and black hair.

4) Age: I keep on confusing myself about how Evo-timeline works, but essentially I apped him at the age of 17, and he should be turning 19 this year.

5) Physical features: Well his true self looks like a blue fuzzy devil with a prehensile tail and three fingers on each hand. This is a reference for what he looks like. And when he has his hologram on, he looks like a normal teeage boy: essentially this.

6) Voice: Here is a lengthy 'best of' clip from throughout the series! Most notably is the fact that he speaks with a German accent. You may also notice a progression in that he seems to use more German pronunciations early on but kind of adapts to more Americanized pronunciations over the course of the series. (i.e. 'what' instead of 'vhat', or an excuse for me not to type out his accent) Also as a note the entire series is on Youtube for free if anyone wants to give a more comprehensive watching.

7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: He lives in House 16 with Rogue, Jean and Mia. I don't know if Movie!Kitty lives with them or not... Who even knows how chores work there. Kurt is usually too lazy to do things until someone presses him to it, and his room in particular tends to be sloppy and disorganized.

8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: His favorite foods are pizza, burgers and tacos. Isn't he the healthiest? At the X-House, I think most people tend to look after their own meals or eat out. Kurt probably indulges in Seventh Heaven a lot along with microwaveable meals.

9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: His only real obligation currently is the coffee shop, where he works probably on a semi-daily basis. There is also X-Men training in the mornings, although those sessions may or may not be more scattered now with there being no teachers left around. He also has some training sessions to learn how to use swords, some of which are engineered by the mad Deadpool. Otherwise, he spends most of his time chilling. He has a DVD collection courtesy of his previous Luceti self to spend his time with, and he also generally hangs out by the rec center and with any of his friends.

10) Their general sense of fashion: Kurt's fashion sense is... special. And very dated. He's known for wearing baggy pants, sweaters and button-up shirts. He will most often wear his pants or shorts loosely, with his boxer shorts peeking out. Although it may be time for him to finally start moving past that... This is how he dresses for the beach.

11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Kurt loves a number of standard boy activities, like video games and movies. He can still indulge in them for the most part here in Luceti. He has plenty of movies to watch, with that aforementioned DVD collection, and there's some random video games around that he likes to play. He just often feels the struggle of not having much access to anything new and especially not seeing any new episodes of tv shows.

12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: (IE. A character who couldn't stand poor people in canon now is more tolerant of them due to circumstances in Luceti, so on)

13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: Yes, he has a pair of swords that he's been slowly training with. He mostly carries them specifically when training with them or during emergencies. He's also tried working with tasers before, but he doesn't have any on hand.

14) Do they have any pets? Would these pets be at their homes, or do they hang out with the character in question?: No pets!

15) Who are their neighbors?: Rin is his next door neighbor. And living right across the lane are Sheena and Duck as well as the Morgendorffers.

16) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? His best friends would probably be Mia, Rogue and Jean, whom he lives with and sees on a daily basis. And they train together! Wanda may also be close to counting as well, but he has romantic intentions there. There's also Eleanor, whom he hangs out with fairly regularly and jokes with, as well as Billy and Teddy, but he hasn't talked to them as much recently. Movie!Kitty also has a bit of a head start in this field despite her differences from the Kitty he knows.

17) On the flip side, is there anyone they actively don’t get along with? How do they interact, and would people know about this? Raven Darkholme. They were becoming close friends for some time, but finding out she's actually Mystique - his teen mom - resulted in drama and now he's very uncertain about her. He also doesn't often get along with Loki, and Rogue's current heartbreak probably doesn't help things on that front. He's also weary of Gambit as well, but in some ways he's growing on him. His interactions with those he dislikes can be tense, but often he still tries to be civil or casual.

18) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: The rec center, HQ, the coffee house and the battle dome.

19) Do they belong to any clubs or organizations? Which ones? Do they go regularly, or just occasionally? He's part of the X-Men! If that counts... Also working at the coffee shop.

20) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: His are blue, matching his fur. And it differs. Sometimes he lets them show, other times he's insecure about the similar color to his fur and hides them.

21) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: Largely it's his hair that's grown to become kind of shaggy. He could use a good haircut. He might have gained some weight too, but he still does work out intensively fairly often and he seems to have magical metabolism in canon.

22) What do they miss the most from home?: His friends for the most part. Especially Kitty and Scott, even if they've come and gone from this place before. He also misses Amanda in a lot of ways, but with the time he's been in Luceti and the number of people he's been involved with, he feels very mixed and reluctant about the idea of seeing her again. He misses the mansion and the comfort of having all those teachers looking out for them. And... superficially, he misses being able to regularly watch new tv episodes and movies.

23) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: It's probably fairly sloppy. His writing would be more direct and to the point, since in real life he can end up stammering and such. Also there's less room for jokes so he doesn't do it as often.

24) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: Aside from the writing-related example above, he usually tends to be the same over the journal person as he is in real life.

25) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: Well he can't finish school and find some way to advance things for mutants here in Luceti. He hasn't necessarily gained any new goals aside from the general goal of looking out for all of his friends until they can get safely home. Although he may be setting a goal of revealing his true self to Luceti.

26) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: It's an upgrade in some ways with a lot of the scifi-level technology. There's no vehicles or anything, but that doesn't really bother him because he can just teleport anywhere.

27) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: He avoids school.

28) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or HQ? What's their attitude about and while drinking?: He's of drinking age in Germany so he uses that as an excuse to drink every now and then, but it's partly due to being a dumb teen moreso than enjoying it a lot. He'll go for beer and a large assortment of other drinks. He'll probably drink at HQ more because he can control how much he gets there. He probably has a high tolerance level but can get very silly while drinking regardless.

29) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: Teleportation! His main mutant ability is teleporting anywhere in a two-mile radius, which more than covers the entire village. So he can get pretty much anywhere around the village instantly. He's also fairly flexible and very acrobatic, and one of his other abilities helps him to cling to walls.

30) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? He's been learning how to fight with swords. This is because of how aggressive the Third Party is, and how helpless he can be without his powers. Also he really likes swashbucklers. But it's still very much a work in progress.

31) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? Kurt will usually follow with what the rest of the X-Men are doing, or listen to whoever's ordering him around if it seems reasonable. He focuses on support and helping others, as his teleportation is very handy for that. He hasn't been able to get himself to kill yet.

32) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? He hasn't really gone on any missions until Pagoda, but he's not adverse to it. Mostly he would look for support/stealth roles and try to do his best to help out. He would go on them to learn more about the world and also to feel like he's making a difference in some way. He could possibly end up using points on silly things considering the last Nightcrawler used it for the tv and DVD collection....

33) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: He's been in Luceti for over a year and a half. He's adjusted largely to the village. In some ways, when it's peaceful, it's like a vacation home, so he doesn't feel like he's in a rush to leave. In the past, he has been very reluctant to return home largely because of timidly thinking of the impending threat of Apocalypse, but talking to others around Luceti has helped him feel assured about their chances against him. It has also been refreshing to live with people where a majority of them seem to be accepting of mutants, or completely oblivious to the idea of there being a problem with mutants. He still remains reluctant to show his true form at the risk of people turning out to not be as accepting as they appear, however. But he has been toying around with the idea of coming out as his mutant self, regardless.

Overall, he has grown more comfortable being in the enclosure, and he tends to go with the flow rather than actively try to change things. He definitely doesn't want to say goodbye to his friends from other words such as Mia anytime soon - they spend enough time together it's easy for him to forget she's not really from their world. Beyond that, he initially came from a point where he was just starting to come around on having problems with Rogue, and now they're largely reconciled, so he's glad for the feeling of truly having Rogue as a sister here. He has still struggled about ideas involving his birth mother who abandoned him, Mystique. He had to defeat a Dream Shifter who took on her form once, and now he's discovered that his friend Raven is actually a younger version of Mystique. And because she's any version of Mystique at all, Kurt feels afraid and doubtful about whether she's telling the truth about even that, so that has been worrying him. The last draft has also helped to disturb him out of things being easygoing.

34) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? Sometimes he isolates himself for a while, but other times he can find a friend to get him through whatever the problem is. A lot of the times it involves finding reasons to laugh and be happy again.

35) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? His worst would likely be one that wasn't an experiment at all: when Billy used his powers to make his own House of M. Kurt had a degree of peace and happiness that it felt painful to be torn away from in the end. Secretly, he likes the one shift where he and Rogue where raised together by Mystique.

36) Anything else you want to note?: He always wears a watch, which is an image inducer and the reason why he has two different appearances. The image inducer projects a hologram of that human-like form to hide Kurt's true appearance, because back home most people aren't ready to accept a fuzzy blue mutant. He has a lot of insecurity there. But it should also be noted that the image inducer can be prone to malfunction and reveal his true form, and that it can produce a number of other forms/be used by anybody.
