THE DAILY LIFE MEME
GREETINGS LUCETIANS. Long ago, on a distant server, Kyio once unleashed a pleasant meme. But then it's been over a year and yeah, we need to do it again. It's sort of like an info survey.
Well it's back, with new questions! And thanks to Dreamwidth's generous comment character count, these might even fit into a single comment! It's a 33 question survey/meme about your characters and their experiences and developments in Luceti. It'll give you a better idea of where your characters are at and let other people get a good sense of what your character is like and up to. It can make for interesting stuff, really.

2) Weight:134 lbs (THAT IS CANON. :| YEAH I KNOW. realistically I'd definitely add in some pounds)
3) Eye color/Hair Color: Blue/blonde
4) Age: 24
5) Physical features: He's a tall, very physically fit human. He's got a couple of large scars on his chest from deathy mishaps. His hair is also naturally just... really nice. The envy of ladies everywhere.
6) Voice: Still none, currently, but it would be VERY manly if he had it!
7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: With the rest of the House 9 people! Rydia, Cecil, Rosa, Hiccup... TOOTHLESS of course... I think he mainly sticks to... anything requiring strength or heavy lifting. He'll probably do whatever Rydia or Rosa ask him to do, too, if needed.
8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: Favorite- KEBABS. Also a fondness for dark chocolate. His least favorite... anything too sickeningly sweet. He's pretty much a fail cook (aside from things you skewer and hold over an open fire). He can make you kebabs or marshmallows, pretty much. Like every good Baron man, he leaves it up to the women to do most of the cooking.
9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: Train in the Battle Dome- he's a firm regular there. He hangs out on the rooftop a lot too.
10) Their general sense of fashion: He definitely prefers the armor whenever he can get away with it. Casual clothes are just a lot of blue and dark colors... I think Rydia has pretty much made sure he has a decent wardrobe so he's not an eyesore when in non-armor... and she makes sure his clothes actually match when he leaves. No more clown clothes for him!
11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Is brooding a hobby? It should be!
12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: Kain is still searching in ways, to understand darkness and how to cope with having it in him. He's learned a lot since coming here, but there's still a lot he needs to understand. He works slow on these things (This is a guy who canonly takes 17 years to get over himself, after all!) He's also found love, and learned a great deal about having a real, meaningful devotion to a person... he had to grow out of a lot of bitterness to see that, which took a lot of development for him.
13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: His spear/lance and he has it ALL THE TIME when outside or going anywhere, no exceptions. He's the type who needs to be prepared at all times.
14) Who are their neighbors?: Houses 10 and 7 look to be directly nearby!
15) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? His housemates are his BFFs... (oh but sometimes Golbez is his BFF~). Kain usually spends time training with Cecil, and he likes any excuse to be around Toothless because DRAGON... I don't think I need to elaborate how he spends time with his wife. ;)
16) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: THE MOUNTAINS. Aside from that, any heights are awesome (hence rooftop chilling out), and the Battle Dome is, in Kain-logic, a wonderful hangout.
17) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: Dark blue and he ignores them so much by now.
18) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: Nope, he's pretty intent on keeping his hair grown out to a certain length. He works out to keep in the same shape he'd be in back home.
19) What do they miss the most from home?: Baron, sort of? But he already said goodbye to his homeland before coming here, and while he'll always miss it, he doesn't feel right thinking about a return. He doesn't really MISS Mount Ordeals, but I think no matter how much he moves on he'll always miss what it represents.
20) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: He writes in place of talking, so it's the way he'd sound in conversation. He's become an expert at writing very fast, very legibly. I'd say his writing has gotten even neater over time. For the record, he's a lefty!
21) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: He probably is a bit more willing to talk over journals, but he's still reserved and standoffish for the most part. I think he's more willing to pose questions about things/discuss certain concepts in journals than he'd be in person, though.
22) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: Yeah. Mount Ordeals is gone to him, here, so he has to find other ways to deal with his Dark Side. There's no magical cleansing of the darkness for him! He's learning to compensate and also learning that other things (like love!) can give him strength against that part of him. He's not as interested in returning to that course of action for redeeming himself now. Currently, though... his goal is to get himself a dragon. Thanks to the AU he knows what it's like to have that bond, and he never got one of his own!
23) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: Upgrade. It's been a while, so he's used to it... but he's still not the best with cooking technology especially.
24) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: N/A
25) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?: I don't think he has a favorite place. He usually has a purpose for drinking, so doesn't really do so often... but definitely will in celebration. His favorite drink... probably darker beers. Least favorite- ANYTHING CECIL GIVES HIM.
26) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: Jumping extraordinarily high! He's also got an affinity for dragons/talent in fighting them, as part of the dragoon thing.
27) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? Filial wind, and he's an expert at this skill. It's his element! He also has really strengthened his regular attacks, since for a while it was all he had to rely on. He's worked on some bands with IV-people too.
28) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? Kain is pretty ruthless on drafts... thanks to a few past ones not going so well, he's never taking any chances out there. He'd rather kill then let the enemy go, and was bad at obeying the tagging method used on some of them. He's got that soldier mentality of kill or be killed well ingrained.
29) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? He goes on missions solely for the challenge of them, mostly, and to be the physical fighter to Rydia's magic. He tends to go on the combat-oriented missions. He's not sure what to spend the points on, but thinks it's useful to have them.
30) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: Three years, and it's been very impactful! Finding love, dying a bunch, being forced to constantly encounter his worst issues... but he's also been forced to actually be around people and not the isolation of the mountain, which has had a good positive impact on him.
31) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? Usually he broods alone. Solitude is his friend when things go terribly wrong. I think Rydia tends to let him have space, but then comes to help him through it so he's not totally isolating himself.
32) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? Anything where he has to deal with his Dark Side usually counts! Though having Golbez for a dad and Yuber for a brother were not pleasant things to realize once Kain regained his senses after last year's AU. The experiment he LIKED was turning into a dragon for a little while.
33) Anything else you want to note?: I never know what to say in this part!

5) Physical features: He always keeps a golden clawed gauntlet on his left arm. He's very pale, and has all kinds of well-hidden scars from Hojo's experiments.

7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: He lives alone so he does it all.
8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: He tends to prefer cold foods, and not be as fond of hot, spicy things. Again, he does it all since it's him alone!
9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: Be alone, but he does tend to keep an eye out for weirdness and trouble.
10) Their general sense of fashion: He never takes that cape off. :| Along with the gauntlet, the tight leather clothes, the pointy metal shoes, the headband... the man has odd fashion sense. (Inspired by his dad somewhat, apparently it's a Valentine thing)
11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Shooting things! Brooding! You'd have to convince him to do actual fun hobbies.
12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: Not too much... if anything he hates mad scientists and experiments even MORE.
13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: His gun, and yes, he always has it. If the inner monsters count as "weapons" then he always has the potential to become them too.
14) Who are their neighbors?: Chitose Cxarma on his floor.
15) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? People from home since he trusts them more than most, serious people to talk about their situation with like Jay, non-serious people who push at him like Grune...
16) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: Off in the forest... especially if his transformations go out of hand he prefers keeping his distance.
17) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: Red, and they're usually covered by his cape.
18) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: He is all unchanging physically, so he doesn't look like he's aged a day.
19) What do they miss the most from home?: Lucreciaaaaa. He misses the solitude of her cave.
20) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: It's relatively neat, but when he's feeling more... monster-y it tends to get sloppy.
21) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: About the same! He's reserved and keeps a lot to himself, but he will converse at length about serious matters.
22) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: I don't think he's changed much about his own personal goals... though obviously protecting the village is a short term goal, longterm goal of going home. Though he knows that going home is fraught with its own challenges. He also learned about Omega/Chaos through a "gift" from the Malnosso, so I think there's a general feeling of "try not to kill all the things" in the back of his head.
23) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: It's... fairly similar in ways! Obviously lacking huge modes of transportation though.
24) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: N/A
25) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?: Red wine is his favorite... probably Good Spirits as a place. He drinks alone, and occasionally when really contemplating something.
26) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: Does turning into monsters when pushed count here?! XD Also, he's a skilled marksman and... well. Turk-skills. Sneaky intelligence stuff, body guarding, assassinations and so forth.
27) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? He's got a bunch of Filial magic that he's picked up from the spirits.
28) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? Vincent is of the mind that he'll do whatever it takes to complete the mission and protect teammates. So if it means killing, yes, he'll kill... and if it means refraining from killing, he'll at least try and have restraint (can't say the same for the monsters!) He tries to stay alone when he knows he's going to be transforming a lot.
29) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? Usually he'll go on missions for letting his monsters have some release in a non-simulated environment. He doesn't have any specific goals for the points, other than wanting to do something useful with them.
30) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: (IE. getting used to the place, not wanting to leave, being less/more inclined to do something about their situation, so on) Over two years, and he's just become more frustrated over time at the experiments' effects.
31) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? (IE. do they spend time on their own, go drink away their troubles, confide in their friends, and so on.) SLEEP. It depends though, if he's TOO tense then he'll end up going to the Battle Dome to let Galian or someone out for a stress reliever. He also is for solitude to deal with things.
32) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? ...Being an AU flirty self was far from enjoyable to him. Becoming what he most hated - Hojo- was not enjoyable. Nor was the time that everything was all nightmarish a couple Halloweens ago. Uhhh. He really doesn't like experiments or kidnappings. Though he probably DID enjoy being a normal human during the latest AU.

3) Eye color/Hair Color: Green/Brown
4) Age: 37
5) Physical features: Tall, lanky... pretty average human though!
6) Voice: EXACTLY like David Duchovny.
7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: He lives alone, so... that gets interesting. XD Sunflower seed shells tend to pile up, and he has a habit for using his bed as a storage area. Also he's bad about paying attention to expiration dates, so there's lots of old outdated stuff in his fridge. He's not a huge slob exactly, but he's far from neat.
8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: He loves sunflower seeds as a habitual snack, sweet potato pie... least favorite... I don't believe that ever comes up. Probably Chaco Chicken lol. He does the cooking, though he's prone to just quick, instant meals. And with his issues with ignoring expiration dates on things, it's probably better to stick to frozen dinners!
9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: Work on his Lucetian X-Files, ponder the mysteries of this place, contact his current Filial Spirit of choice, check up on Scully, go for a jog/swim/play basketball/SOME physical activity, reading- usually on some paranormal topic... he keeps to himself a lot, actually, on an average day.
10) Their general sense of fashion: Casual clothes, jeans and shirts/sweaters. Sometimes he'll throw on a suit when he's trying to get into the right mindset, complete with trenchcoat.
11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Mulder loves sports, and he tries to keep as active here as he did back home. Playing with magic is the thing he's picked up here, as he slowly gains more from the spirits.
12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: He's more obsessed with finding out the TRUTH of the place and getting it all resolved. Other than that, he's getting a lot of great firsthand experiences with other worlds and universes... it's really given him perspective about the universes and his place in it. It's one thing to want to believe, but to EXPERIENCE it is really everything he could have hoped for. He still thinks people in charge are just assholes.
13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: Yes, a standard issue FBI gun and he always has it. He knows better than to let his guard down. I can see him eventually adapting something new and unusual from another world, but nothing has stuck yet as better than the old reliable. He usually tends to keep holy water or a protective charm, small carry-able supernatural-warding things on him... just in case.
14) Who are their neighbors?: Kouki Wakahisa, Atsuro Kihara are right next door... aaand there's everyone on C7 Floor 2!
15) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? SCULLY. She's his partner, best friend, confidant, maybe-lover, everything. No one matters as much to him. He's also made good friends with science-y types like Robert, Don, Ami... to name a few.
16) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: His place, usually. That's where he has his "office". He's often out and about when he goes on runs though.
17) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: Red like Scully's hair, and he's STILL fascinated by them, even after being here over a year.
18) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: He's more or less the same. With Season 7 hair by now I guess XD Though if he goes through any... weird points... he may temporarily grow the Second Movie Beard for a time.
19) What do they miss the most from home?: PORN. :| No, I mean this 100% seriously. Also TV in general, sports games... and maybe even Skinner. A little. XD
20) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: It's decently legible. He tends to write the way he talks. Here in Luceti he's tried carrying on the X-Files through reports on the experiments... he TRIES to keep these in formal language, but often he slips in a lot of himself into these, since there's no Bureau to report to.
21) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: He's about the same! His sense of humor remains intact, and he's pretty easy to talk to overall. In both cases, he actually tends to hold back a lot about HIMSELF in favor of discussing the experiment/the other person's cool weird capabilities, etc.
22) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: Liberating Luceti became a top goal- even above going home. He still wants to find Samantha, and started out believing she could be here, but the more time has gone on, the more he's less sure he'll find her here. He won't stop believing, but his search for her has been sort of on hold. Making Scully BELIEEEVE is obviously going to work better here than home.
23) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: Similar, aside from the woeful lack of cable, VHS players or 90s style cell phones or computers. OKKK so it's a bit of a downgrade. At least there's electricity and indoor plumbing!
24) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: N/A
25) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?: Drinks really depends on his mood- he'll go for hard liquor when he's moody (screwdrivers made from frozen concentrate orange juice!), but beer when he's being casual and hanging out. He's partial to Good Spirits.
26) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: He's Only Human, but he's a really clever one, and he's great at thinking outside the box. Mulder is a overall a skilled investigator and profiler. He always seems to have a really keen sense for when WEIRD THINGS are behind any wrongdoing. He's got a great memory too, and is able to recall a lot of random facts about the paranormal, things in the Files, etc.
27) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? Filial magic! He's slowly acquiring skills, so far he's got healing and wind, and he's looking to learn more. He's learning more about warfare tactics on the drafts than he'd ever known before.
28) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? Mulder is willing to do whatever it takes to save people of the enclosure. If it means killing, then that's what it'll take. He's trained in this kind of thing, so he knows that sometimes you just have to take down the bad guy. He feels like he's fighting so that those who don't want to, don't have to.
29) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? Mulder's motivation for missions is to uncover anything he can out there, so primarily to learn and file away what he experiences. He'll use the points for something cool and helpful... though knowing him whatever he decides, it'll be sort of... out there to anyone else.
30) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: (IE. getting used to the place, not wanting to leave, being less/more inclined to do something about their situation, so on) Just passed his year anniversary! He's gotten adjusted to life in general, though he finds it WEIRD still not having a regular job to go to, or anyone to report to at all. He's found ways to occupy his time. He's become determined to uncover all the secrets and do everything he can to help everyone get free of this situation. He's gotten a bit more paranoid in some ways... and less trusting of authority.
31) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? (IE. do they spend time on their own, go drink away their troubles, confide in their friends, and so on.) It depends on the situation! Usually he'll go off alone and think about it... as much as he keeps up a humorous approach, he still has his own broody times. If it's something that angered him then he'll do something physical to cool off. He is manly enough to cry in private about it if it's something upsetting in that way. If he's hurt, he'll do what he can with Nala's magic, then go to Scully for anything more serious. He'll confide in her too if needed.
32) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? Anything involving losing siblings rates right up there as the worst. He also really didn't like when his paranoia was heightened. He liked changing species, since he got to be an alien, and he secretly liked Valentine's Day with Scully~
