THE DAILY LIFE MEME
GREETINGS LUCETIANS. Long ago, on a distant server, Kyio once unleashed a pleasant meme. But then it's been over a year and yeah, we need to do it again. It's sort of like an info survey.
Well it's back, with new questions! And thanks to Dreamwidth's generous comment character count, these might even fit into a single comment! It's a 33 question survey/meme about your characters and their experiences and developments in Luceti. It'll give you a better idea of where your characters are at and let other people get a good sense of what your character is like and up to. It can make for interesting stuff, really.
Feel free to respond to each other's tags with IC or OOC responses, questions, or what have you. Have fun!

2) Weight: I'm going to say about 70kg by now (~154lbs) [I know, still light but he canonically began at 60 and Shizuo is canonically only 70kg, so idek sigh]
3) Eye color/Hair Color: Dark brown hair with light brown eyes.

5) Physical features: Masaomi has at least two or three piercings in both ears and a tendency to wear rings, bracelets, and necklaces. He also used to slouch a lot, but he's gotten better about that.
6) Voice: here is the English VA, though I confess while I love it I keep his Japanese VA in mind because of when I apped him... in a serious moment here. In a less serious clip uh, Masaomi probably sounds a lot like Takuto these days (or in a less silly Takuto clip the first one who speaks here)
7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: Given he lives with Shikamaru (
8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: Masaomi's a surprisingly talented cook, but teenage boy. I imagine him and Shikamaru alternate if they aren't just making it for themselves. His canonical favorite food is "eating with cute girls" and I've had him say a few times his second favorite is "food cooked by cute girls." I don't think he really has a preference on types of food, what with spending the last few years mostly eating bentos from convenience stories before Luceti.
9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: Hit the town, of course. He still attends school (he's my own one that does) so he goes to do that for much of every weekday but aside from that he Socialites around the square for the most part, chatting up people, hitting on girls, etc. When there's nothing going on there he hits up (in relative order) the Rec Center, House 11, and Mikado's apartment. In the afternoon on days where there's emergency medical lessons he goes to the Battle Dome to run workouts or (more recently) battle simulations with Linda. Uh... he's also due to start lessons with Souji Okita (the one from PMK) but I have no idea if those actually started yet or not. Weekends, the guy alternates Dome->Rec Center->House 11->Plaza, etc. Some nights he also goes to the south side of the village to
creepily from a distancewatch Katara's bending practice down there.10) Their general sense of fashion: See his profile image and this and this...? The guy's got a very urbanite fashion. His first year in Luceti to hide his wings he almost always wore a hoodie (alternating between white and pink), but now he's gone for more variety, albeit still almost always covering his wings with a jacket or big shirt or something. As noted above, also jewelry. When he's doing something serious, he wears the ninja flak vest Shikamaru gave him (albeit with anything linking it to Konoha like an Uzumaki symbol removed)
11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Flirting with girls?? But no aside from this he's a closet lit nerd, which he does in the privacy of his own room and only there. In Luceti this has evolved in include foraying into writing poetry, but that's... not exactly going super well but he loves it.
12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: How he looks at violence has changed a lot, I think. The Drafts gave him perspective, and where before and in canon he very much polarizes his identities of being a gang leader who was impossible strong and being a flirty teenager, the two now are very intermingled. At the same time he also developed a complex in which he thought he was weaker than everyone else until he defeated Shikamaru at Fight Club. Now he's simply trying to find his place and himself. This has also ended up blurring his lines about being a "bad boy" among other things. I'd also say he's become more aware if not more accepting of alternative outlets of romanticness? (IE Gay people) in Luceti, albeit that's more headcanon than directly stated in canon that he had places to go there.
13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: Yes, he has at least three collapseable batons which hurt a lot. He generally does not carry those around unless he has the flak vest on, and if he has that on he's also carrying quite a few kunai even if he can't use them well. While not quite a weapon, since she's hatched he almost always has Linda with him, albeit usually when he's just walking around she's in her pokeball, which he keeps at the golf-ball size in his pants pocket.
14) Who are their neighbors?: All the other Konohas and Temari. That Community house be full of ninja yo.
15) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? His "best friend" is still Mikado (
16) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: The Rec Center and House 11. Following up them the space around the Avatar House and the Battle Dome.
17) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: Florescent pink and because they are embarrassing outside of his apartment he almost always has them covered up.
18) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: Significantly more muscle mass in his legs and arms (his abs and pecs were ripped to begin with, and he has some muscle on the others too) and about 5cm of height. He also got the bleach out of his hair so it's back to its natural color. He keeps it at about the same length.
19) What do they miss the most from home?: Modern conveniences and how crowded Tokyo was. Not much else, really - it's more about how in Tokyo not fitting in isn't a problem, but in the smaller population of Luceti even two people disliking you is a noticeable segment of the population.
20) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?:
21) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: Maybe a little - the journal lacks his body motions and hand movements which he commits to in person, though he still tends to make some of them at the journal.
22) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: Lose, no. Gain, he wants to be a better person - stronger mentally and physically and become dependable.
23) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: Downgrade...ish. The average stuff is about the same level but he misses elevators, the Internet, and public transportation a lot.
24) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: Least favorite is probable world sharing if only because, while interesting, it makes him mildly uncomfortable. Favorite is Literature-oriented things. Either way, he's insufferable in class. It depends on his mood but in a good mood there's disruption, harassment, flirting, hamming, etc. Fortunately, almost all of his classes except one he is with either Katara or Mikado, so he probably doesn't ditch any of them to go to the other that often.
25) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?:The only times he's done so are prompted by others, like Law.26) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: He can stand from a sitting position without getting on his knees?
ridiculous core strengthHe's also acrobatic, surprisingly strong, very well balanced... etc. He showcases those a lot with just how he walks around town.27) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? He's working on learning chakra basics from Shikamaru. Pi has a whole lesson plan up here. Only very recently has he mastered the leaf thing.
28) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting?
Masaomi never killed at home, but adapted to it in Luceti with a surprising ease mostly because of orange and blue morality. That said, this was when he was less stable and was able to psychologically distance himself from the horror of smashing in peoples' skulls. Were he to be put in a new draft, he might have a brief moment of grim realization about it. In a draft, he tries to place his faith in someone smarter than him he can depend on... ironically, he's had Shikamaru both times.
29) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for?
Impulse, mostly - it's something for him to do and a way to get away. As of now he doesn't have a ton of points and the only reward he's used is unbleaching his hair. On them though, he just rolls with it, doing what he's told and doing his best for it.
30) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: Like... 20 months now and tremendously. I've detailed why in almost every other answer so you will not make me do this again.
31) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? Alone. He breaks down alone or, in recent habit, goes to get consultation from Shikamaru and/or Gold or find comfort in how much he is head over heels for Katara if that's applicable. he's not good with dealing with things.
32) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked?
Um, most of the AU experiments have broke him to some extent, mostly because Luceti Valley and this most recent one in particular he feels he had a better life in them than he did back home. Both of those sucked. Aside from that though, most of them don't stick out too much to him other than hitting on Frey as a girl.
