THE DAILY LIFE MEME
GREETINGS LUCETIANS. Long ago, on a distant server, Kyio once unleashed a pleasant meme. But then it's been over a year and yeah, we need to do it again. It's sort of like an info survey.
Well it's back, with new questions! And thanks to Dreamwidth's generous comment character count, these might even fit into a single comment! It's a 33 question survey/meme about your characters and their experiences and developments in Luceti. It'll give you a better idea of where your characters are at and let other people get a good sense of what your character is like and up to. It can make for interesting stuff, really.
Feel free to respond to each other's tags with IC or OOC responses, questions, or what have you. Have fun!

7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: I get the feeling it's pretty much all of them doing a bit. The kitchen is Sanji's domain, everyone does their own rooms, the rest divided up between them with Nami probably nagging everyone into doing their part. :|a
8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: Mikaaaans. Fruit in general. With a fondness for things like chicken with orange sauce and, in fact, anything that is highly complimented by orange sauce |D As for who does the cooking, there is a live in chef. 8|a
9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: Lurk on the journals, hack everyone's posts ever, go shopping, see friends. She puts in at least a few hours every day at the mikan orchard north of town, and can be found in Good Spirits most nights.
10) Their general sense of fashion: Nami's usual canon getup changes with every storyline. She favours miniskirts and crop tops in general, with a ring motif. As of recent manga chapters she apparently runs around everywhere in a pair of low-cut jeans and a bikini top. Jeez, Nami. Put some clothes on. 8|a
11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Hacking everyone's entries is a hobby. |D Trolling various residents. She's taken up sailboarding, which isn't so much new as "I don't have a ship, but this is fun and it'll do." Canon hobbies are reading and cartography.
12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: She's much more likely to react to threats to herself or her crew more brutally, and drinks a lot more than she used to.
13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: Nami now has the upgraded climatact from timeskip which can do a lot of very destructive things in the form of lightning and wind attacks, can create mirages to either give her a whole bunch of Nami copies or hide her completely, as well as create barriers and pathways in the form of "cloud" and such trivial things as creating a tiny raincloud for her to have a hot shower under. 8|a She carries it at all times and has a belt holster for it. When she's sleeping it's under her pillow. Take the weapon away and Nami has a mean right hook, but she's not that flash at fighting.
14) Who are their neighbors?:
The people in houses 2, 5, 7, and 8 I think? She only talks to the Trigun household (house 2) and Buffy on occasion (house 7).
15) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? Her crew are obviously top at her list. Outside of the crew, her best friend is Noel and has been since about the third day she's been in Luceti. They don't have specific things they do, but they get together a lot just to talk or go shopping (re: Nami drags Noel shopping) and Nami is teaching Noel how to sailboard. |D When she's around. >> She's also good friends with Katara and meets her for staff practice every week, and Elicia and Miyabi are like her little sisters. Nami has a lot of friends past that, but those are at the top of her CR chart. e_e
16) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?:
The mikan orchard and Good Spirits.
17) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: They're white, and in winter she'll just wear them under her clothing. In summer she'll often wear tops that are low cut in the back or ones with tailormade holes for the wings.
18) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: Not really. She has a couple new scars B|
19) What do they miss the most from home?: Everything.
20) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: Handwriting is neat and concise, but she generally writes the way she talks (minus random verbal tics like "UH") unless she's working on something more formal like a map or some such. Then she sounds more professional in her writing.
21) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: Not really. Though admittedly, she's occasionally braver over the journals, given who she speaks to on occasion.
22) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: Get them all home. 8| In actual fact, get them all home with memories intact, because she doesn't want to forget that Bellemere was here.
23) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: Hard to say. It's more of a sideshift with a very slight increase in technology. Easy to get used to.
24) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?:25) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?: Favourite drink is the Going Merry. She doesn't have a least favourite, though Nami will freely admit she only drinks Romulan Blue when she's of a mind to get drunk, which only happens when she's having a really bad time of it. Romulan Blue is the only thing that can get her drunk. She prefers Good Spirits for any number of reasons, starting with the fact it was there first and Guy ran it and ending with the fact that it's more her kind of place. Her attitude while drinking depends entirely on why she's drinking, but she usually comes across as laidback and somewhat playful. Habit.
26) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: Anything to do with weather or money or theft or navigation, Nami's your gal. |D
27) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? Nami's learned extensively from the filial spirits while in Luceti, mostly out of a desperate intent to give herself an edge against the bazillion people who were trying to kill her earlier on. She learned from Nala first, went camping specifically to learn from Kipinn and Tsinku; those three are the ones she's most proficient with. Sanji convinced her to learn from Sona as well to compliment the others. That was it for a long time, until last year when she suddenly had a mikan orchard; at which point she also sought out Faeren. Eferin and Hyt, she has no skill with. But wind/water/electrical filial magic, combined with her climatact's gifts, are pretty damn awesome.
28) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? Nami will fight, though she usually sticks to defensive fighting or reconnaisance where she can. When she does fight, she fights to put the other person down; if they stop moving, she stops hurting them. She doesn't outright kill, but summoning a lightning storm down on your enemies, I'd say it's implausible she hasn't killed anyone like this. Aside from that, she has deliberately and willfully killed before, when she woke up after a bad fall to find four elites pretty much torturing Ted. Hurting her friends is really a trigger point with Nami. Not a good idea.
29) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? Nami is obedient on missions and doesn't cause trouble, and she uses them for both (a) intelligence gathering and (b) points. Poooints. She intended to use those points originally in a plot she had to basically get her hands on shifting technology, but now that the Malnosso have raided Bil her plan is kinda shot. But she's still gathering points, because she'll look for another way and find it eventually, and she might as well have the points to spend at the time she needs them; if she'd already had those points way back when, she'd have been able to put her plan into effect back when it might have been effective.
30) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: Nami's been here for two and a half years and she hates the place more with every passing month, triggered by Luceti Valley. Before that, she was kind of okay with it, though she still wanted to go home. Miyabi's death in front of her last year has promoted a bitter and reckless streak wherein Nami proclaimed nothing that happened in Luceti mattered because she'd forget it all anyway and if people died, who cared? They'd be back the next damn week, after all. Fuck everything. Bellemere's arrival soothed that a lot, but she's gone now. It's Bellemere's letter, and the memory of Bellemere's visit, that gives Nami strength now. She will find a way to make things better. But she's certainly more bitter and reckless than she used to be.
31) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? Drinking. Lots and lots of drinking.
32) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? Her worst was actually the very first time, when Nami tried picking the lock on her cell to escape. The Malnosso broke every one of her fingers in retaliation and dumped her back out in the snow when they were done. ...at which point Kefka cornered her and did the kindness of 'healing' her fingers so that Chopper had to break them all over again once she got home so they'd heal correctly. Not her idea of a good time, really.
33) Anything else you want to note?: Not really.

2) Weight: Slightly underweight for height.
3) Eye color/Hair Color: Hair is dark brown, eyes are a vivid green and slightly...odd.
4) Age: Nine again. Though she got to nearly 11 before she went home and reset, as it were.
5) Physical features: Her eyes are very catlike with elongated pupils and she has slightly longer incisors as well. Nothing that really screams inhuman, but just...odd.
6) Voice: Often very deadpan, she's soft and crisply British with a West Country accent, and anunciates everything like a good girl.
7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: She lives in Captain Jack Sparrow's attic! As for chores, I suspect she'll clean up after herself and occasionally do other chores as asked (nicely) or on a whim.
8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: Favourite food is fish! Her least favourite is broccoli. I'd say Jack or Norrington does the cooking. |D
9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: EXPLOOAR. Do whatever feels like fun. Dress up like pirates or sith lords or ninja after people in the forest. Generally live in denial that the whole place is run by scientists, because if she forgets that part Luceti is awesome.
10) Their general sense of fashion: She always wears skirts (has a tail, after all, even if nobody can see it) and generally defaults to long sleeved shirts under pinafores.
11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Sidewalk chalk art? She tends to graffiti hopscotch grids everywhere. XD
12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: Not in the slightest. Though when she regains her memories and realises she was killed and that she can no longer use Wayfare magic, she will be a little more cautious. (...a little.)
13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: She has a sword. She sometimes remembers to carry it, but she'll always be carrying it if she expects trouble. The next few months she'll most likely carry it always.
14) Who are their neighbors?: ...8|a Nobody.
15) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? She probably spends the most time with Jack, actually. He's insane enough to go sliding down the mountain with her on a blanket, after all. Katie likes a fair few of the 'adults' in Luceti and will look out after their welfare, but she often doesn't think of them in terms of friends - it takes a very long while for her to get close enough to anyone for that, and they're adults and she's a child. Brook would have been her best friend, but he's gone. She's close to Sanji and Katara and Sokka and getting close to Buffy (who knows all the ways to her heart, awesome stories and awesome milkshakes) and she likes Raine very much as a teacher, but there's still a level of reserve for all of them except Jack, and Raine to a lesser extent-- they're the only two who really know what she is and they haven't freaked out about it.
As for doing things, well, Katie does whatever she wants on any given day. But that often includes dropping by her favourite adults' and seeing what they're doing, and Sanji especially can often see a face pressed against his kitchen window. FEED MEH.
16) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: Anywhere and everywhere. Really, the only things she shuns are the tunnels and the teleporters.
17) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: Baby blue, and they tend to glint if you're not looking at them directly. She wears those things proudly, man. Just wishes they were butterfly wings.
18) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: ...well, she died. 8| Currently Katie is just human. Give her a couple weeks.
19) What do they miss the most from home?: Her parents.
20) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: Messy and lazy. There's no real difference, bar occasional spelling errors.
21) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: Generally not, but given she can (usually) see people's echoes, that might make a difference. She shuts them out as much as possible, but if your echoes are all about killing little girls or something, you betcha she'll treat you differently. B|

23) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: It hasn't really changed. Just a lack of television. Alas.

What about their general behavior in school?: Katie keeps to herself at school and is failing any subject that requires her to give a direct answer. 8| Therefore, she's best at things like English/artistic subjects. (Plus, Maths gives her a headache. Ghahh.)
25) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?: CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKES OKAY. GIMME.

She's a wonderful artist. Apart from that, magic and the ability to see your dreams and echoes kind of ... counts. And cheats.
27) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? She's much more proficient with a sword, though she's about to start looking for someone to teach her. She also learned to teleport last time (it's the final gift of Wayfare that you learn with time.) She's since lost that skill but will...eventually regain it.
28) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? ...the first draft Katie was on, she sat on a giant piece of broken building and hopped it all about the place to land on the Third Party soldiers, giggling when she landed. It's safe to say that she killed with all the sociopathic glee of a young child mixed with a creature centuries old who never looks at the corpses of the people she killed. There's a level of separation there. 8| Though more generally speaking? Katie usually just flicks her enemies away from her to some distant and awkward high up place. But if you terrify her, she'll kill you without a second thought in kneejerk brutal reaction. She might feel bad about it later.
29) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for? N/A
30) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: Not counting her two months back home, she's been in Luceti for two years. She's much more at ease in Luceti than she was at home, and the only thing she misses is her parents. As long as she can pretend the scientists don't exist, it's all good.
31) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft? Un...wind? Psh. Business as usual.
32) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked? In general, Katie likes experiments because they're entertaining to watch and give off such an amount of glamour she can often be found on a roof somewhere basking in a food coma. As it were. Kidnappings... the worst would be either when the scientists came close to killing her just by being there and keeping a pooka under lab conditions, who then rectified it by shoving so much glamour into her she went crazy, or when Edward came back from being kidnapped as a monster. That still terrifies her to think about. ;;
33) Anything else you want to note?: Katie is currently human. She remembers nothing associated with her being one of the fae, can't see your echoes, tells the truth, and in general is a normal little girl who wouldn't hurt a fly. Anyone who could tell she was magical before this will now see her as utterly ordinary. Subject to change in the near future.
