THE DAILY LIFE MEME
GREETINGS LUCETIANS. Long ago, on a distant server, Kyio once unleashed a pleasant meme. But then it's been over a year and yeah, we need to do it again. It's sort of like an info survey.
Well it's back, with new questions! And thanks to Dreamwidth's generous comment character count, these might even fit into a single comment! It's a 33 question survey/meme about your characters and their experiences and developments in Luceti. It'll give you a better idea of where your characters are at and let other people get a good sense of what your character is like and up to. It can make for interesting stuff, really.

Luke fon Fabre 1/2 I GUESS?
2) Weight: Canon says 150 lbs, but since his time here where he's gotten a tiiiiny bit taller and trained and fought, he's gained a bit more when it comes to muscle. So about 157 lbs now.
3) Eye color/Hair Color: His icons vary on saturation and what not, so:
A sort of dusty red color (as opposed to FIRE TRUCK RED) and sea green eyes.
4) Age: Both in Luceti and Auldrant years, his actual age is 8. However, he physically looks 18. (It's been decided in a thread with Hiccup that his birthday here will be May 30th, so he'll be approaching 19 soon! Though in Auldrant years he'll still be 18 for a while.)
5) Physical features:
HIS DUCKBUTT HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN LOOK AT ITYour usual shounen protagonist, though one thing worth noting is that, while he icons might not show it well, Luke is identical to Asch save for the hair color and style. Their face and eyes and skintone, however, are entirely the same, and both Akai and I encourage people to point this out. |DOH ALSO he has quite a few scars, most of them thanks to that Mu-12 battle. Several somewhat faded ones litter his arms, a couple are on his thighs and knees, one runs from his left jawline up to the front of his ear, and four large ones are all along his left side. One big one is on his stomach where he got stabbed on his first draft, and a light one is across his back and under his wings from that same draft. There's also a slightly faded one above his left knee thanks to another draft.
6) Voice: I use Luke's English voice, who is the ever popular Yuri Lowenthal. Here is a clip of Luke talking (and bonus Tear, Mieu and Guy).
7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?: Right now Luke lives with his best friend, Guy. Guy is the housekeeper, although Luke does his best to pull his weight. He cooks occasionally, especially now that he's had cooking lessons from Sanji, and he washes clothes (Guy folds them because Luke finds that part a hassle), and he puts the dishes away. Certainly a lot more than he did the last time Guy were here. I'd say Luke does 30% while Guy happily does the rest.
8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: Guy is the one who mostly cooks, though Luke does it on occasion. His favorite dishes are most things that have to do with chicken (particularly chicken parmesan), and shrimp as well. That's the only seafood he likes though, as he hates any other kinds. He likes some fruits, and particularly likes berries, especially strawberries. He hates... pretty much everything else, save for beef. Notable are carrots, mushrooms, ALL KINDS OF FISH, pig meat, and milk (I headcanon that he has some lactose intolerance). Also pretty much all veggies. Luke is quite the picky eater.
9) What they do during an average day in Luceti: Depends on the day! He'll go to school unless he really doesn't feel up to it, and afterwards train/exercise, including going to the Battledome and jogging around the village. After that, though, he enjoys walking, just to think about things or get his mind off of stuff. Once he gets back to the apartment, he just chills there and reads or draws or does his homework, and tries not to nod off since he likely didn't get enough sleep at all. He actually does go to sleep very early in the morning due to nightmares and generally not liking that moment you're trying to fall asleep. On days where he doesn't have school, he mostly uses it to train, play piano at Seventh Heaven (he's gotten a little braver about playing when there are other people there), hang out at the weapons shop and chat to people there and try out swords, and stop by the regular shop to check out what's there. On any day he'll stop by House 14 to talk to his girlfriend, Xion, or to a couple of his friends, Kairi and Roxas. He also has cooking lessons with Sanji, and once a week he'll do an obstacle course run for himself of sorts. He likes keeping himself busy, otherwise he knows he'll just lay around at the apartment. He's lazy and he knows it.
10) Their general sense of fashion: Luke wears outfits like this and this, and of course his default outfit. He mostly goes for baggy clothes, and a lot show off his stomach and abdomen in the spring and summer time. He likes vests, and it provides a snug sense of comfort, and things that flow, though at night he just goes for wearing a pajama top and bottom. They have to be made just right too - he has picky tastes due to his upbringing.
11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: In Auldrant, he's picked up collecting swords, exercising/training, and writing in his diary, whether it's about his day to day life or just little stories. In my headcanon, he also does a fair bit of bird watching, stargazing and taking care of plants. In Luceti, he's expanded these, as well as playing the piano, slowly taking up the violin, writing much more, and occasionally drawing, even though he's not so great at that.
12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: When he first arrived, he was pretty much at one of the lowest points of his confidence, thinking that he didn't have any reason to live and struggling with his self-worth as well as the importance of replicas that are existing. These days, he's come a long way. He views himself as his own person, has much more confidence in himself, and thinks that he himself as well as other replicas has just as much right to be here as anyone else. His sense of self-worth is still something he needs to work on, as he can think of himself as good person some days, and then think he's the lowest of low on others, depending on what's going on around him. He's getting better at this, though. But things definitely don't bother him or linger with him as much as they used to.
13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: Luke carries his sword, which is like a odd mix between a scimitar and a bastard sword. He has a few others that he'll use every now and then for different purposes, but that's his favorite and the one he's most comfortable with. He didn't carry it at all times at first, but he does now, mostly from habit, but also because you never know what might happen in Luceti.
14) Who are their neighbors?: Luke lives on the first floor of Community Housing 2, so he has Eyes, Japan and Sayo as his neighbors. He probably occasionally sees them while going out to make tea in the kitchen or cook or do laundry or whatever. Neighbors will also note that it's much quieter now that Asch has left.
15) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what? There is, of course, Guy Cecil, who lives with him and is his bffl. There are others that he's made in Luceti though: Xion, his girlfriend, is very much one of his best friends, and Kairi and Noel Vermillion are also two best friends of his. So yes, all his Luceti bffs are female. He spends a lot of time with Guy, seeing how they live together, though also with Xion, seeing how they're in a relationship, and quite obviously so. He likes to talk to Kairi a lot, especially after that Another World AU event. He can't hang out with Noel because she's kidnapped. 8(
16) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: His own place. :| But also the Battledome, the weapon's shop, and Seventh Heaven. He also likes to visit the general shop, just to see what all's there and how stuff works.
17) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: They're sort of like this!
Luke's wings are sensitive, so they twitch and flutter a lot during the day, especially if they're irritated by something that gets caught in them. They also tend to react with him - raising up and poofing out when he's embarrassed and indignant, staying tense and close to his back when he's nervous, drooping when he's sad, that sort of thing. He tends to keep them out as he thinks it's a hassle and uncomfortable to try hiding them, though when he's in battle or training, he keeps them bound to his back and under his clothes, seeing how they're an obvious weakness.
18) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: 3/4THS OF AN INCH!!! But he's also gain just a bit more muscle, and - well his hair used to be just a little scraggly, but now that Guy's around, he keeps it trimmed up and well kept. He keeps his hair short for a reason.
19) What do they miss the most from home?: HIS MOTHER. ;A; He got to see her during his one day visit to Auldrant, so that's helped out some. But he still misses her very very much. But I think one other thing he misses is the fonbelt. It's still kind of strange to look up and not see it, though he's long gotten used to it. But it's very pretty.
20) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: His handwriting is messy, though it's gotten better since he first showed up. It's... kind of like chicken writing, really. But at least it's gotten more legible now that he knows he's writing for other people rather than just for himself. As for writing the way he talks - yes! He even puts in ellipses if he's hesitating (he does this in the game, too).
21) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: Nope! As said above, Luke is Luke whether on the journals or off, and he'll act the way he always does.
22) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: He didn't really have a goal upon arriving other than finding a purpose in his life. And he's found it! So he has achieved that. Now his goal is to keep it. 8| Now his goals are to continue to make himself a better person and to make Xion a happy woman in the future, as he implied with the promise ring.
23) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: Sort of both! There's no airships or advanced robots like Auldrant has, but there are also microwaves and such as well as the Battledome. It's certainly an environmental downgrade for him, coming from a rich noble area and family, but technology wise, it goes both ways.
24) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: He likes reading and writing most, though not so much the reading. Writing, though, is what he's good at. He also enjoys the music class, and lunch and recess. |D His least favorites are math and science because they're too hard for him to understand a lot of the time.
25) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?: HE LIKES WATER AND LEMONADE AND SMOOTHIES AND JUICE AND TEA 8|
26) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: Luke has the power of hyperresonance, which is this ridiculously powerful and hax ability that allows him to create and destroy all matter. It's extremely dangerous, too, hence why he never uses it unless he has to. With it, on Auldrant, Luke has shot a hole in a boat and a mountain, destroyed a pillar that held up an entire city, etched commands into something that's impossible to do otherwise, and with Asch's help, he lowered the entire land of the planet.
And though this is mostly headcanon, he's also very attuned to music and sound. He's the scion of Lorelei, the entity of sound and memory, and is made up of seventh fonons, the particles of sound. Music is also very prominent in Abyss. So, when someone makes music, Luke can pick up the emotions behind it and has the ability to pick out notes and pitches. He's also a fabulous singer, though he doesn't do it much. He prefers using an instrument over his singing voice. On the flip side, he hates loud noises and high pitched sounds, and too much over a constant period of time can be dangerous for him. (aaaaall headcanon)
27) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how? Piano playing and slowly picking up the violin, he's gotten the basics of drawing down, and he's practicing how to heal and apply medicine as well. He can heal some surface wounds and take away some aches, but nothing beyond that for now. He wanted to learn ever since Tear returned from a kidnapping badly injured, and he couldn't do anything for her without it.
28) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting? Luke can fight and kill, but for as long as he'll fight, he'll never get over the horror of killing people. He absolutely hates doing it, hates ending lives and causing more hate and ending one's future, and he'll never stop feeling that way. He often has nightmares about drafts as a result. But during battle, he will put on his battle face and do what's necessary. He'd rather do things that require as little fighting as possible as a result, like escorting or rescue missions or whatnot, but if he has to, he will. He just has much more of a problem with it than others. This doesn't make him a liability in battle by any means, but by the end he's always a bit of an emotional mess.
