1. I wish I understood you better than I do, but I'm begining to wonder if that might be impossible for both of us.

2. I'm glad we've become friends, but even now, it's sometimes hard for me to forget how we started off. I wonder if that's true for you too, but I'd never ask, because I don't want to remind you and risk losing your friendship.

3. If you asked me again today, my answer would be different. Maybe it's only because I know nothing will change that I can say that. I'm still not sure if that's awful of me or not.
